The 2023 El Nino had a great impact on the humanitarian crisis in South and Central Somalia, causing displacement of people and increased vulnerability of communities in the affected areas. Happy to note that our work contributed greatly to saving lives and livelihoods.

Today @FAOSomalia #SWALIM team visited Xabaale site in #Somaliland, where #ILWRM @EU_in_Somalia funded project built up a reservoir. Water harvested on the only rainy day affecting this area is pumped with solar energy into the troughs/water point, serving the whole community.
