I did something none of you retards have done: I actually READ the bill. The 2027 National Defense Authorization Act is 500 pages, of which the Cooperation Initiative is 5 pages. You don't have an excuse not to read it. Here's what's conspicuously NOT in it: - Nothing about intelligence sharing. Not one word. Nothing about giving Israel our "military codes." Nothing about "fusing" the U.S. military and the IDF. - Nothing about hiding the amount of aid we give Israel. The bill explicitly requires regular transparency and progress reports to Congress. - Nothing about us unilaterally handing over all our tech to Israel. The agreement is explicitly bilateral and actually provides a framework for Israeli tech manufacturing in the U.S. I guess all that stuff you people talked up about reshoring manufacturing to America was hot air. - It does not tie us to Israel permanently. There is no mention of entangling alliances or obligations on America's part to support Israel militarily. The closest analogue to the Cooperation Initiative is AUKUS, the partnership Biden signed with the U.K. and Australia. It's an R&D initiative, not a military or intelligence-sharing alliance. The most practical effect of AUKUS is that it forced Australia to purchase expensive American-built nuclear submarines to replace its aging sub fleet. Not only did this upset a lot of Australians---former prime minister Paul Keating has been constantly banging on about the damn Yanks ripped Australia off---it resulted in Australia terminating an existing contract with a French contractor that was going to build subs for the Aussie navy. Emmanuel Macron was so pissed off about it he publicly called Australian PM Scott Morrison a liar and Australia had to cough up a gigantic contract cancellation fee to smooth over relations. We got the Aussies over a barrel and all it cost was three signatures on a piece of paper. The practical effect of the Cooperation Initiative, assuming it passes---which it might not, it's only in the House version of the bill and could easily be removed in reconciliation or even just to pass a floor vote---is that Israel will be buying expensive American-made tech and building defense plants in America, creating jobs and wealth. Wow. Much ripoff. Many spying. It wouldn't shock me if the Israeli right comes out against the bill because its likely effect is making the IDF a captive client of the American defense industry. If you think the Initiative is a bad idea because foreign entanglements are a bad idea, stick to that. But for the love of God, stop fucking lying and stop letting libtards and Muslims do your thinking for you.
