and is currently studying for her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. Karina enjoys offering children an additional foundation in a second language, as she often speaks in both English and Spanish with the children in her care.

however, left the numbers and calculators as she decided to fulfill her true passion - working with children. Karina began volunteering and gained experience working in a NAEYC accredited center. She then obtained her Child Development Associate (CDA) in 2016

Edwin’s favorite colors are maroon, red, brown, and purple, and his favorite part about coming to school is seeing his friend Wyatt and playing with magnets! He also shared, “When I was on vacation, my papa, my grandpa, made a kazoo out of straw. It was fun!”

A is for Activist is an ABC board book written and illustrated by Innosanto Nagara. This is a wonderful text to introduce to all families who want their children to grow up in a space that is passionate about activism and social justice for all.

The new site plan calls for 3 new buildings, 10 classrooms, 8 executive offices, a library, gross motor space, staff lounge and a family courtyard!

Yesterday, Friends Center for Children hosted a “Sneak Peak” for their soon-to- be 3rd early care and education center on Flint Street in New Haven. The new center, which was sold to Friends Center for Children last September, is the former home of the movie theater Cine 1-4.
