FDLE Commissioner Mark Glass stood alongside agency representatives from @FL_Ag_Law, @FLHSMV, @FMCSA, @ICEgov, @HSI_HQ, and other agencies at the Orlando Regional Operations Center where they announced the results of Operation Highway Shield, a hands-on, four day, statewide enforcement initiative that targeted commercial vehicle safety violations, criminal activity, and threats to Florida’s transportation network. The priority for this operation was to continue safeguarding Florida’s citizens, visitors, and roadways while strengthening the security and resilience of our critical infrastructure. FDLE Special Agent in Charge (SAC) John Vecchio joined @AGJamesUthmeier, @othram, law enforcement leaders and community members at FDLE Miami to announce the partnership between the Attorney General’s Office and Othram to investigate cold cases. “At FDLE, our agents, analysts and forensic scientists review and analyze every piece of evidence, explore every lead, and strive to bring closure to families,” said SAC Vecchio. “The advancements in forensics and investigative tactics continue to evolve. We will exhaust every lead to resolve these cases.” FDLE will continue to work with our law enforcement partners and Othram to solve cases and help bring answers to the victims and their families.
