When our South Florida law enforcement partners asked for help finding Yam Perera-Nuñez for fleeing and eluding, battery on a law enforcement officer, grand theft, and multiple out-of-county warrants, FDLE Miami worked alongside investigators to locate Perera-Nuñez. When law enforcement agencies work together to hold criminals like Perera-Nuñez accountable for their crimes, our communities are safer. FDLE continues to support our partners at @FHPMiami , @browardsheriff , @MiamiDade_SO @PoliceHialeah.

Deviancy and greed make an unfathomable combination, one that we will not tolerate. Michael Vanover learned very quickly that uploading child sexual abuse materials to AI to create more files has immediate consequences. Now the Office of the State Attorney, 1st Circuit will make sure he pays for his disgusting crimes. Read more about this arrest here: tinyurl.com/bdce88at

FDLE will continue to prioritize the safety of our children and remove those who seek to harm them from our communities. FDLE led two successful investigations resulting in the arrest of two criminals who targeted children in Gilchrist County. FDLE’s investigations found that both Willis Charles Douglas, 31, of Trenton, and Coty Jade Streit 31, of Bell, were using the internet and their phones to view, download, and share digital files containing child sexual abuse material. FDLE agents together with deputies from the @Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office arrested both suspects and took them straight to jail. You can read more about the investigations here:fdle.state.fl.us/news/2026/apri…

FDLE’s Missing Persons and Offender Enforcement analysts work constantly to ensure sexual offenders, like Alfonso Morrison, remain compliant with Florida’s sexual offender registration laws. Morrison was convicted in 2018 in Illinois for aggravated criminal sexual abuse involving a vulnerable adult and was required to register for life. Instead, he absconded and remained unregistered for years, until he came to Florida. FDLE analysts and inspectors conduct extensive research and analysis alongside our law enforcement partners to hold these offenders accountable. Great work by our FDLE inspectors and analysts and @OrangeCoSheriff.
