@F9rkt @Osint613 I don't know the full strategy behind this campaign. I don't work for the Pentagon. But I trust Trump and the greatest military in human history. As tragic as those 13 or 15 US deaths are, it pales in comparison to the 4,500 Americans killed in Iraq or 2,500 in Afghanistan.

@FDaratenas @Osint613 All true. So, what's the strategy here? How do we 'win' this, without boots on the ground? We keep bombing them for the next [x] years? (as for American casualties - love how you casually glanced over the 13 deaths of American servicemen so far)

@Osint613 Although the refusal to serve by a few reservists in the IAF was proven to be a bluff (as we saw when war broke out on October 7), this stupid pronouncement proved to be catastrophic. It encouraged Hamas to go ahead with its onslaught by not reading the situation correctly.

Outgoing IAF chief Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar in his parting speech: The Air Force was "only a step away" from having its foundations undermined during the judicial overhaul protests nearly three years ago. Bar: "We drew the clear boundary line between politics and influence and the IDF. This was not easy, but we fought to preserve the competence and cohesion of the Air Force." He says he still stands by the decision to keep protests out of the IAF, adding that when war broke out, "all the servicemen and women proved devotion and resilience on the day of command, on October 7th, and also when we faced the challenges of the war in seven arenas simultaneously."

@F9rkt @Osint613 Everything. For starters there are no boots on the ground (at least in any significant way) and there is no long ocupation and nation-building project by the Trump administration. I could go on about improvements in technology, intel, objectives and preventing American casualties
