Shortly after the car broke down, while we were still puzzled about what to do next, Madam @taffies_safaris CEO of Taffie Safaris picked up a spanner and toolbox and stepped out of the car. After 20 minutes, she simply said, “Get in, we move.” Just like that, the issue was solved. I will forever fear ladies in the travel business.

We areas like discounted air fares for runners, potential appearance in Msafari magazine again, article about @RwenzoriMarathn on the website, taping into sky team network as well, exhibition etc. Mr. @FELLOTUKS is very brilliant and very pleasant to talk to about aviation and since I woke up thinking aviation, was fantastic talking to him and @RosetteNassuna. It’s also nice that a country manager of @KenyaAirways picks a phone and calls you for a discussion. That alone is good enough.

RWENZORI MARATHON 2026 Early bird opened on Friday the 20th March 2026, so far 7 countries are represented in the registration. The numbers won’t change a lot from last year due to accommodations growth! Signs are good, very good!

I wish to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Tamouh Moustafa, Honorary Consul of the Syrian Honorary Consulate in Kampala, for organizing a farewell dinner in my honour to mark the successful conclusion of my tour of duty in Kampala. The dinner was graced by members of the Diplomatic Corps, led by the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Amb. Mohammed Suleiman, as well as many friends. As I prepare to assume my new duties as Deputy Head of Mission in Riyadh, I deeply appreciate their presence, which made the evening truly special. I will forever cherish the memories of that wonderful night. It is never easy to say goodbye to such amazing people. I am profoundly grateful for the friendships, kindness, and support I received throughout my diplomatic tour in Kampala. I will miss you all dearly and wish you the very best in your future endeavours.
