Through initiatives like the European Action Day Against Islamophobia (EADAI), our annual conference at the European Parliament, we come together to assess the state of Islamophobia policies and advocate for a more just and inclusive Europe.

📌As civic space continues to shrink across Europe - with organisations facing attacks, smear campaigns, and defamation - we remain steadfast in empowering young people to lead the change.

At #EADAI25, Sec Gen of YFJ Milosh Ristovski warned: ⚠️ Civic space is shrinking ⚠️ Youth orgs are increasingly facing attacks ⚠️ Funding shifts from democracy/social skills → competitiveness, fueling polarisation #Europe must invest in #democracy & protect youth voices.

At #EADAI, we were honoured to co-host alongside @brandobenifei & @ceciliastrada. Brando’s keynote reminded us to strengthen alliances across communities, push for stronger equality policies and secure more resources. Thank you Brando for your bold leadership!

On the European Action Day Against Islamophobia. 🕊️ We remember Aboubakar Cissé, Hichem Miraoui & Rahma Ayad - and all victims of Islamophobic violence. But remembrance must lead to action. Europe must choose justice, dignity & inclusion over silence.

We are grateful to @NazilaGhanea, UN SR on Freedom of Religion or Belief, for her powerful message to #EADAI. She reminded us that the fight against Islamophobia is a fight for human rights. Protecting freedom of religion & belief is essential to defending democracy.

We would like to thank @EUAgainstAMH for her keynote speech and for joining us today #EADAI2025. The work against Anti-Muslim racism is critical and must be connected to the broader fight of racism.

This visit was more than symbolic. It was a moment of reckoning, reflection, and commitment — to fight denial, preserve memory, and ensure that future generations understand the cost of hate and silence. We remember not just to mourn — but to act #srebrenica #femyso #neveragain

On the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, our #WeRemember95 delegation — including FEMYSO members and partner organisations — stood alongside survivors, families, and international delegations to honour the victims and demand justice.

FEMYSO remains committed to advocating for justice, confronting denial, and ensuring that future generations are educated about the consequences of hate and dehumanisation. We remember. We resist. We carry their voices forward. #SrebrenicaGenocide

Being present here was a painful experience, but also a privilege — and a living reminder of our collective duty to remember, to speak truth, and to act.
