Bill 98, Ford's backdoor upload of the TTC, just passed in the legislature 61-31. This is a dark day for transit. We expect fares to go up, routes to be changed and consultations with riders to cease.

There is a direct causal link between the removal of speed cameras on Parkside Drive and a 235% increase in speeding. This isn't neutral: people have lost their lives on Parkside. @fordnation's meddling in municipal affairs is literally putting lives at risk.

The pain and grief of #RoadViolence never goes away. 13 years later, Marr's family thinks of her every day. She should have been able to live out her golden years with her family. Marr Horsey is never forgotten, and her family is not alone.

You'd be 40 on your next birthday. You were 27 the last time I saw you, your life spreading before you like a glorious banquet. Would you recognize me after all this time? I would know you. Even if 100 years passed I would find you in a crowd of thousands. #LossLit

Last night ( a Friday) - Bloor West sidewalk in Yorkville almost completely cut off by construction. Pedestrians forced onto narrow dangerous edge strip. No safe detour set up. #WalkTO

Toronto & other municipalities quickly switch from Winter to Construction with all the usual lackluster safety precautions for Vulnerable Road Users. Why the City doesn't yet have a mobility squad to ensure safety at road closures & constructions sites is beyond us 1/2

As cities like Montreal, Paris, and New York make big investments in pedestrian priority projects, is Toronto lagging behind the global stage? Help us organize and shape an agenda for making the city a better and safer city for pedestrians of all ages.
