@IOnlySayFacts I mean, I'll take it even if they take up the incredibly asinine (but highly-profitable cash-grab) idea I had of mash-up movies of Disney franchises with the same actors. Mash National Treasure and Sorceror's Apprentice. At least, people will pay to see Jay Baruchel shot at.🤷

@JonAlba @ShaneHelmsCom Looks more like Shane is working on founding the Inuit Dynasty to challenge the Samoans for the Interstellar Legacy. People always underestimate Inuits but anyone that can grapple a full-grown ice seal like Stu Hart is no one to be trifled with. Those fuckers are mean!

@ColMoeDavis Not that you'// ever find me defending Hook-nose Harry, but Trump is nothing if not a starfucker. Which, in itself, is ironic, because he hasn't actually fucked a single actual star.

@philiprr_OMD @JonAlba I do wonder how much of that might be an oversaturation of Tom Holland in the industry. You never want to begrudge any actor a successful career or the opportunity to flex the artistry muscles, but you can burnout audiences on actors from overexposure.

@JonAlba It is a little surprising to me the general lack of buzz or hype for a new Spider-Man movie coming out in three weeks. All the Tom Holland Spider-Man movies have been really solid. And this does seem like it is exploring some interesting themes with the character.

I do not think Doomsday will be bad at all. In fact, I think it will be very good. I do think it’s going to ignore a lot of what has happened since Endgame, which isn’t super fun for a lot of people who have patiently waited.
Abdul A.@AbdulBCRT

@JonAlba People who have read the doomsday script (John Campea, Robert Meyer Burnett) think it’s going to be amazing. I think marvel fans will be eating good this year.

@JonAlba And when the 2030's roll around, and us in our 30s, 40s, 50s are the age our parents who, grew up reading the Avengers major arcs, were when Phase 1.5-2 launched, they throttle into X-Men who were us 80s/90s kids' biggest focus.

@JonAlba I mean, ultimately they'll move to phase the Avengers into the background. Which is righteous - and a smart franchise decision because just going to "a next gen" comparison is always going to be an uphill battle. You let the 4 be the bridge... 1/2

@JonAlba To be fair, I don't think Doomsday is written or intended to be the gamechanger people are trying to hype it to be. It's a table-setter. The formulas work, particularly when 50+% of the audience doesn't recognize it (or really care as long as the flick is enjoyable).

I would just like to put into writing that I believe Spider-Man: Brand New Day is going to be the best Marvel installment of 2026, and will be a better movie than Doomsday by a solid margin.

@That_London_Guy Pens are (quite literally) free throws. They're 98% muscle memory. My uni coach had us train them blindfolded and most of us had 2 in our arsenal, depending on what the situation called for. 1 was your standard take, the other was just straight power for following an opp miss.

@DecodingFoxNews No they are not! Not sure what school you went to? They don’t propagate left wing agendas nor do they promote conservative right wing ideology. They tell the truth, present the facts and let the students critically think for themselves!

Rachel Campos-Duffy thinks U.S. schools are not teaching children, including incredibly young children, about the evils of communism. U.S. public schools are Maxist indoctrination mills!

@IOnlySayFacts Yeah. I think people are finally seeing now why Marsch should have been the hire from the onset. Realistically, there's going to be time because if the majority of defense needs to be rebuilt (it does), w/ no auto-bid as host, it wouldn't be shocking if they didn't qual for '30

@geoffschwartz @BDChiefsFan You know as well as I do that gambling lines are set by casinos and betting services to control the action and protect the house from losing big. Odds on the US were likely driven up by action/amount of bets by Americans on the US. Belgium opened at +105 as an away team.

@BDChiefsFan I don’t set the gambling lines but they were the favorite to advance.

USMNT because expectations for a game matter in this discussion. Yes Egypt had a chance for an upset but they were huge underdogs. It’s going to sting forever. But they will be able to have pride for their effort today. USMNT was the favorite. Everyone was hyping them up. And they completely no showed. Now for 4 years they have to hear about it until the next World Cup.
Ty Hildenbrandt@tyhildenbrandt

Is it worse to lose the way Egypt or USMNT did?

@AUsefuIldiot @geoffschwartz Betting favorite, maybe. Geoff puts out a lot of sports betting content. But because of that he also understands that betting odds very likely shifted to the US on the back of # of bets/action and ppl thinking Trump putting his thumb on the scale was guaranteeing an easy payoff.

@soccerdiva @kevinhatchard Thought Kevin hit it right on the nose really, just glossed a bit over that the dead rubber was against the best-organized side in the group who finally managed to slough the inconsistencies that plagued them all tournament. Garcia did his homework.

@kevinhatchard Felt like this team had a lot more to offer. All let themselves down last night by having their worst game on the same night. Played the occasion not the game. Belgium changes elevated them. They played better sans KDB and Doku. Trossard one of the best at the tournament.

In the end, the #USMNT performance at the #WorldCup came out about par. Played really well in the first two games against teams they’d expect to beat on home soil, then lost a dead rubber and overcame Bosnia-Herzegovina in what was their best display. Then outplayed v Belgium.

@YouAreMyArsenal @fadule_ More than wrong. He's arrogant. But you also have to remember that the level of exposure that a lot of these people have to tactics and development is AYSO where you can just hoof it to a breaking winger to create 1v1's with GK's there because they don't want/can't to run.
