My personal feelings on BlueCo and management of the club are these: 1) Winstanley and Eghbali CANNOT continue interfering in team selections. This is part of a culture of protecting player values over results and its acutely damaging to the club's status and success.

Olise signed for Bayern for £50m in July, we signed Neto for £54m and João Félix for £45m in August. ‘felt finances involved beyond reach’ as they didn’t want to break their wage structure so instead they ended up overpaying for less talent. smart business, that.
David Ornstein@David_Ornstein

🚨 EXCL: Chelsea withdraw from race to sign Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise. #CFC held talks with #CPFC + 22yo but felt finances involved beyond reach - instead plan to reward existing players & new recruits (expected to add 2 attackers) @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/55640…

@RichardDeller1 Look at how the top European teams mix things up now by going long and attacking with real pace. We’re 5 years behind still asking keepers to pass the ball out 10 yards to a defender the losing the ball after a dozen sideways passes.

Chelsea are behind Liam Rosenior and sympathise that he has come into a situation where the squad is said to be ‘knackered’ and has not had appropriate time to implement his ideas. Summer target lists are underway with all eventualities being considered, as Chelsea feel UCL qualification will likely come down to fine margins in May. There is no current suggestion that the model will be changed. Chelsea also feel that contract statues with many current stars wanting more money is further proof that it would not be wise to chase signings that would be looking for a high base salary. The club want players to be together as a team and earn their money. There is not an appetite to create an entitled and unhealthy culture and the cost to risk ratio is high. Directors are working within the financial restrictions and the model put in place by Behdad Egbhali. There may be an odd exception but generally this is what I’m told. The club are open to spending high transfer fee’s but not salaries straight away. 1/3…

@FFulbright @CFCJacob90 I just don’t see what the point of chanting fuck off Eghbali is, do we really think he listens or cares, it’s not like it was when Benitez was here when there was a clear objective

Everton away. This is an opportunity for the away fans to create a hostile atmosphere for the ownership, Eghbali, and Liam Rosenior from minute 1 to minute 90. Fair play to anyone travelling to that. Gave up my ticket. Not driving 10 hours to watch Liam Rosenior try and coach a draw. 😂😂

@FFulbright @ChelseaSTrust @NotAProjectCFC Can someone with knowledge of the subject find out who Clearlake's institutional investors are and publish them so we can organise an online campaign where fans write to them. Easy to do and fans worldwide could get involved. Just increases the heat on Clearlake.

@10DaveF @CFCJacob90 Dave. There comes a point where this is short termist. Supporting the team might help get a result on the day. But does nothing whatsoever to address huge issues preventing us getting more results long term.

Chelsea always do better with a bastard in charge, we’re hated, you can’t have a Potter or Rosenior leading the team. Bastard players with a bastard manager, teams used to fear coming to the Bridge, now we just get laughed at & they make memes out of our manager

@FFulbright That’s the issue. Objectively Rosenior was a poor appointment. But that misses the point. Having fallen out with Maresca, realistically they had very few (if any) attractive options. Our internal dysfunctionality means that top European coaches simply aren’t interested in us.

Eghbali and Winstanley have literally engineered a situation where NO top coach will work for them in these circumstances. No say on signings, team selection interference, constantly being given second rate players. If they sack him, they will 100% HAVE to concede on the model
Fabrizio Romano@FabrizioRomano

🚨 Liam Rosenior: “The fans want success instantly and rightfully so for the size of the club”. “I understand why fans are frustrated, they want us to win. I understood that before I came in”.

An utterly shambolic, pathetic and weak showing from Chelsea Football Club as they go out the Champions League with a whimper. A coach out of his depth, an ownership that are tone-deaf, and fans that are broken. @Dannythefink: Let’s talk on the record. - #CFC #UCL #CHEPSG

Stayed to the bitter end while being serenaded by PSG fans & thinking back to the days not so long ago when Stamford Bridge was a fortress, Chelsea reigned supreme and supporters felt like they were a part of something special. That brilliant One Step Beyond feeling. Ruined.😢
