Chelsea will definitely buy at least one attacker and then another will depend on what Alonso and the club decide on sales.

Xabi Alonso’s interview was good. Big emphasis on being together as a club and fans to deliver success. Something which some fans clearly aren’t wanting to do lately.
Alonso mentioned how the culture that is created at Cobham will make us go to any stadium with belief we can win. There was an emphasis on being strong at home.
Hard work was pointed out several times, how everything a player does is not for himself but for the benefit of the overall team.

Manchester United’s perspective is they are delighted to pay £50m, which they believe is seen as low in comparison to the players’ ceiling.

December 2025.. watch out for Santos sale in the summer. Here it is. As I said also said £50m was the figure. Manchester Utd have agreed to pay it. They see Santos as the next Brazilian number 6 long term and Vivell rates him very highly.

Since December 2025 one to keep an eye on. Santos could leave, if clubs meet around £50m, Chelsea would have a decision to make. He’s keen for more regular game time.

Max, ask yourself what has driven him to this point? Is this behaviour out the blue or driven by factors that have unfolded internally at the football club? Lack of ambition, salary cap, managerial change, toxic environment the list goes on.
I’m also not entirely sure these comments are out of line. I think it’s clear the club would like to sell Enzo. Without it they’ll likely struggle to facilitate any meaningful squad rebuild.
