FHP remembers Stephen G. Rouse, who died in the line of duty on March 28, 1987. Trooper Rouse died in the line of duty as a result of a vehicle crash. At the time of his death Trooper Rouse was 23 years old and had served with the Florida Highway Patrol for 11 months. #FHP

FHP remembers Herman T. Morris, who died in the line of duty on March 16, 1972. Trooper Morris died in the line of duty as a result of a traffic crash. At the time of his death, Trooper Morris was 27 years old and had served with the Florida Highway Patrol for 3 years. #FHP

FHP remembers Phillip A. Black, who died in the line of duty on February 20, 1976. Trooper Black died in the line of duty as a result of a gunshot. At the time of his death, Trooper Black was 39 years old and had served with the Florida Highway Patrol for 9 years. #FHP

FHP remembers Joseph Bullock, who died in the line of duty on February 5, 2020. Trooper Bullock died in the line of duty as a result of a gunshot. At the time of his death, Trooper Bullock was 42 years old and had served with the Florida Highway Patrol for 18 years. #FHP

FHP remembers Zachary Fink who died in the line of duty on February 2, 2024. Trooper Fink died in the line of duty as a result of a vehicle crash. At the time of his death, Trooper Fink was 26 years old and had served the residents with the FHP for 3 years. #FHP

We have obtained an arrest warrant for attempted felony murder against Ryan Routh, the would-be assassin of President @realdonaldtrump. Under the leadership of @GovRonDeSantis, we vowed to bring transparency and accountability to the investigation into the second assassination attempt of President Trump. Despite the federal government frustrating our efforts, which we continue to challenge in court, we found that Mr. Routh’s actions caused catastrophic injuries to a six-year-old girl. We continue to seek justice for President Trump, and we will fight just as hard to ensure Mr. Routh pays for the tragedy his criminal actions brought on a Florida family. myfloridalegal.com/newsrelease/ag…

It is with heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our third motorman, Deputy Ignacio “Dan” Diaz, at 12:42 pm today. Despite his courageous fight, Deputy Diaz lost the battle due to the injuries sustained by the tragic crash that also claimed the lives of Cpl. Luis Paez and D/S Butch Waller. Once again, we find ourselves mourning the loss of another hero who dedicated his life to serving and protecting Palm Beach County. We stand together, honoring their memory and supporting their families, friends, and colleagues through this time of immense sorrow. Let us remember their courage and commitment to duty as we pledge to continue their legacy of service. To serve and protect was their oath—honoring them is our duty.

It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of two of our own: Corporal Luis Paez & Deputy Sheriff Ralph “Butch” Waller. Both were tragically struck and killed by a driver on Southern Blvd while conducting traffic enforcement. Deputy Ignacio “Dan” Diaz was also critically injured in the crash and is currently fighting for his life. Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of our brothers, honor their memory, and support their families during this devastating time.
