Volatility is underrated in basketball analysis. A player who can swing from 15 to 40 on any given night changes how defenses prepare. That's hard to capture in a simple PPG average.

Having a consistent 20 PPG scorer is cool, but having a guy who can randomly erupt for 30 PPG makes you dangerous. With the NBA on winter break, I looked at the top 5 most volatile scorers in the league with @FHuzjan: forbes.com/sites/matissa/…

The goal was to get past the basic box score. Instead of just seeing that the Hornets are winning, I wanted to see why, like the +9.5 point differential and Brandon Miller's efficiency during this stretch. The AI connects those dots automatically.
