@monzo Dispute is not a great word to use with victims of fraud. I'm sure the many suffering would appreciate clearer communication, I'm told people have been waiting 6 months on fraud payments, with many not getting refunds at all. Other banks pay within 24 hours.

@monzo A rough timeline? hours, days, weeks, months, years? 'can't give an exact timeframe' is the same response everyone gets on chat and that is not clear or effective communication. What happens if you don't 'recover' the money, aren't banks supposed to protect against fraud?

@FISmargate Hi there 👋 Good question. We review this sort of thing on a case by case basis, so we're afraid we can't give an exact timeframe. Rest assured our team will be in touch as soon as there's an update. They'll do their absolute best to recover any money lost due to fraud 🙏

@monzo @I3eans How long does a fraud investigation take? so far jsut generic repsonses on chat - fraud telephone line hangs up. I would whole-heartedly agree with Alex on customer service needing major improvements, customers deserve better
