In my experience, courage in educators manifests as a willingness to swim against the tide and teach explicitly, using evidence-based approaches, usually diametrically different from ways that were promoted in their #ITE (for which they incurred a debt). This probably entails elements of both vulnerability and audacity but not for their own sakes.
