@ep9ha @Stevecathutch @JohnCleese So much mental gymnastics. Tedious. All non stun slaughter as I said in my original post - halal and kosher can get to fuck. Can I be clearer? Will I say it again?

@FJScott3 @Stevecathutch @JohnCleese Halal allows for stunning, whilst kosher doesn’t. By your own animal welfare standards, kosher is the less humane way of the two, so where are the calls to ban kosher meat?

It is such a relief to hear this So if Halal slaughter is forbidden, the extremists will leave and the remaining Muslims will be able to integrate and become part of multiculturalism

A Muslim woman Mattie Heaven was on GB News saying Sadiq Khan is “creating division” by politicising Islam Claims most ‘moderate’ Muslims don’t care about public prayer, and says she’s free to practise her faith in the UK She is extremely worried about the rise of Radical Islam

@ep9ha @Stevecathutch @JohnCleese I think non stun slaughter is barbaric and I don’t want it. It should be banned. Anyone who cannot eat meat without stunning should go live in a country where they do it. All non stun killing of animals goes into the bin. How much clearer can I make this?

@FJScott3 @Stevecathutch @JohnCleese Believe it or not, all Muslims follow halal, not just “Islamists” unless you actually do just mean Muslims. Besides, meat is a luxury, not a necessity. No one immigrates based on the prospect of halal meat availability. If it comes to it, they’ll just stop eating meat.

@ep9ha @Stevecathutch @JohnCleese The added benefit of course is that it makes the UK less attractive to Islamists. There’s literally no reason not to ban non stun slaughter.

@FJScott3 @FraserNelson Look, the question is always, is something legal or illegal. Thats it. If it’s illegal then arrest people. If it’s legal, well, then it’s legal. If you still want to change something that’s legal, then start a process to change law. But for god’s sake stop the feminised whining.

Bishop of Willesden on the Iftar : "The public iftar in Trafalgar Square was not an act of cultural imposition, nor a signal of division. It was, rather, a moment of hospitality: an invitation to share in the breaking of the fast during Ramadan, extended by one community to the wider public. It was open, generous and peaceful. It reflected something profoundly British; the instinct to gather, to mark significant moments together, and to make space in our common life for the traditions that shape our neighbours. "To suggest that such an event is somehow threatening risks misunderstanding both the nature of religious expression and the character of our national life. Religious freedom in this country has never meant the privatisation of belief. It has meant the opposite: the right of individuals and communities to live out their faith openly, visibly and without fear. That principle applies as much to Muslims observing Ramadan as it does to Christians celebrating Easter, Jews marking Passover, Hindus celebrating Diwali, or Sikhs observing Vaisakhi." churchofengland.org/media/news-and…

So far, Christian leaders have been absent from a debate, led by politicians, about the place of faith in public life. So good to see the Bishop of Kirkstall give his perspective.

A very special first introduction today - my second grandchild. It is all of our responsibility to leave a better Britain to our children and grandchildren than the one left to us. We certainly have an awfully long way to go, but I still believe we can do it.

@travelingflying Incorrect and guess what ... being Islamic had little to do with it. If you had read the koan you would understand we are believers of the book and Islam has no problem with that. Unless we attack them x.com/i/grok/share/4…

Christopher Hitchens: ”In 1786, when the United States was barely a country, it was having its sailors taken as slaves by the Barbary states, the states of the Ottoman Empire and North Africa. Tripoli, shores of Tripoli. Ships stopped, its crews carried off into slavery. We estimate 1.5 million European and American slaves taken between 1750 and 1815. Jefferson and Adams went to their ambassador in London and said, why do you do this to us? The United States has never had a quarrel with the Muslim world of any kind. We weren't in the crusades. We weren't at war with Spain. Why do you do this to our people and our ships? Why do you plunder and enslave our people? The ambassador said very plainly, Mr. Abdul Rahman said, because the Quran gives us permission to do so, because you are infidels, and that's our answer. Jefferson said, well, in that case, I will send a navy which will crush your state, which he did. Islamic fundamentalism is not created by American democracy. It's a lie to say so. It's a masochistic lie, and it excuses those who are the real criminals, and blames us for the attacks made upon us.”
