Here's thing , I think PS realized that the more people own games digitally, the more likely you are to continue sticking with that eco system. I said a while ago when Phil was turning Xbox into bitch mode that PS would likely become the Steam of Consoles, well here it is.

@FLUDzilla @jstock37 @otterthingsco Ahhh I see what you mean, the counter point is actually that although FSR 3.1 delivers more raw fps, the FSR 4.1 is actually visually solid. Like the game looks and feels noticeably better between then 2. I previously wouldnt play with 3.1, but after demoing 4.1 I think I would.

Steam Machine just got an image upscaling update to utilize its tensor cores. none of the Steam Machine reviews were using FSR4, which means they weren't using the tensor cores. game visual quality should get a bump. neither PS5 or Xbox have tensor compute units, only PS5 pro.

@GeneralJeevicus @jstock37 @otterthingsco There is definitly a performance hit however if you have a high end card like a 7900XTX that has the raw power to absorb that hit it can be somewhat negligible.
