Congratulations to FOP Lodge 25 Labor Services Chairman Shawn Dunlap for being named the 2023 Florida FOP Member of the Year. Shawn currently serves as the Florida State Lodge 1st Vice President and has been a member for over 24 years.

We respectfully ask for a review of her prosecution of violent juvenile offenders, gun related violent crimes and homicides. We strongly encourage the State Attorney to take a strong stance on fighting crime and help us keep our community safe.

State Attorney Worrell has chosen to attack the very law enforcement officers she should be working with. The plea bargains and gun cases being dropped that often lead to repeat offenders committing more violent crimes has gotten out of hand.

In just 5 months the Orlando Police Department has removed over 500 crime guns from the streets of Orlando often times from repeat offenders. Violent crime in Orlando is down 9% and the Homicide solve rate is at 83%. Clearly the members of OPD are hard at work.

Law enforcement officers throughout Central Florida and especially the ones we represent at the Orlando Police Department work collaboratively with many agencies to keep our community safe.

The dangers of Law Enforcement are real. Glad these Orlando Police Officers escaped with only minor injuries.

When will the City of Orlando leaders see what the rest of Florida has realized?
