Today we remember Halabja. On March 16, 1988 Saddam Hussein’s regime used chemical weapons against the Kurdish city, killing thousands of civilians. I visited Halabja in 2021. Standing among the graves is something you never forget. #Halabja #HalabjaGenocide #Kurdistan

The Iraqi Paradox, around the world, countries are bombed by their enemies. But Iraq has a unique pathetic situation; Iraq is bombed from inside Iraq, with Iraqi weapons, Purchased by Iraqi money, by Iraqi military groups, Targeting Iraqi cities, and Iraqi citizens. Then everyone goes on television to speak about Iraqi sovereignty… really pathetic!

The moment a (missile or drone) hit a residential complex in the Chaldean Christian city of Ankawa, Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region. Thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ there are no injuries recorded.

Re-vitalizing Baghdad‘s heart will help tourism. I was impressed to visit the newly opened Iqraa Down Town including the Gallery for Arts and Creativity at Mutanabi Street, with book- and handicraft shops as well as catering and a boutique hotel. I wish good luck and success!

We welcomed a German delegation, including Kerstin Spriesterbach, responsible for religious freedom at @GermanyInKRI, and David Mueller. Discussions covered minorities in Iraq, diversity management, as well as the recent elections, their results, and the rights of our people.
