What’s next for the Genius? I stepped away for a bit. Not because I ran out of things to post, but because I wanted to stop posting just anything. Web3 is loud. A lot of hype, very little clarity. But the projects that truly win in this space are not just loud. They solve real problems. They educate. They build trust. That’s what I’m here for. From now on, I’ll be breaking down real DeFi solutions, dissecting how projects actually help users, and showing how marketing, narrative and utility work together to build demand. I’m not here to post content for attention. I’m here to bring clarity, direction, and strategy. The Genius is moving to DeFi.

We’ve officially entered into a strategic partnership with @Victusglobal . 🤝 Victus isn’t just a “promo team.” They’re the kind of crew that does what it takes to help a project grow and they see it through to the very end. From strategy and exposure planning to community growth and distribution (liquidity-side execution), we’ll work together to figure out exactly where to show up, who to speak to, and how to make it resonate and turn it into real results. From here, we’re shifting into a higher gear for global expansion. Excited for what’s next 🔥

Why is storytelling the secret weapon of marketing? Think about Apple. Every September, they don’t just release a new iPhone. They host a global event, walking you through the journey that led to the product. They don’t start with raw specs. They start with a story: the problems they saw, the vision they had, and the improvements they made. By the time the iPhone is unveiled, people already feel emotionally invested. That’s the power of storytelling. And it’s not just Apple. History is full of the same pattern , leaders and movements that changed the world didn’t win support with facts alone. They told stories that touched emotions, created belief, and inspired action. So how do you actually use storytelling in marketing? 1. Make your audience the hero: Great stories aren’t about the brand , they’re about the customer. Apple doesn’t just say, “We built a better camera.” Instead, they show how you can capture stunning photos of your kids, friends, or travels. The user is the protagonist, and Apple is the tool that helps them shine. 2. Add conflict Every memorable story has a struggle before the resolution. Nike is brilliant at this. Their ads often show athletes pushing through pain, fatigue, or doubt and then overcoming it. That tension makes the payoff inspiring. For marketers, the “conflict” could be the problem your product solves. 3. Keep it human People don’t connect with jargon or technical specs. They connect with emotions and experiences. When Apple introduced the first iPod, they didn’t say “1GB storage.” They said, “1,000 songs in your pocket.” That line wasn’t about tech. It was about freedom, joy, and convenience. 4. Tie it back to your offer Every great story needs an ending that leads somewhere. Apple’s keynotes always close with the product reveal, the hero’s journey leads right to the solution in your hands. In marketing, your story should naturally guide people to see your product as the answer without it feeling forced. At the end of the day, people forget ads, but they remember stories. Stories make your brand stick in their minds long after the campaign is over. The projects, companies, and movements that win aren’t the loudest. They’re the ones that tell stories people can’t forget. A new iphone rollout is coming out this month, watch how they use storytelling to sell you their new product. I remain YOUR MARKETING GENIUS 🙂‍↔️

If you strip everything away from @MoonwellDeFi, one thing becomes obvious: They’re building the fastest, simplest borrowing experience for everyday users. Not for whales. Not for DeFi power-users. For the people who just want liquidity that works, instantly, without feeling stupid. 🔗This is the narrative they should lean into completely. 1. The Narrative Lane: “Borrowing That’s Fast, Simple, and Built for Everyone.” Most lending protocols try too hard. They chase complex mechanisms, exotic token designs, and UI that looks like cockpit controls. Moonwell can win by owning the opposite: • Speed (thanks to Base’s low fees + fast confirmations) • Simplicity (a clean UI + predictable rules) • Accessibility (anyone can borrow without needing a PhD ) That’s the story. That’s a lane almost no lending protocol has committed to. Everyone else is building “advanced DeFi machinery.” Moonwell is building an everyday financial tool. 2. The Audience: People Who Want Things That Just Work If Moonwell’s lane is speed and simplicity, then the people they should be talking to are: • Everyday on-chain users who want quick liquidity No jargon. No fear. Just “deposit, borrow, go.” • Stablecoin holders earning yield passively They don’t want complexity. They want reliability. • NFT and memecoin traders who rotate fast They need speed more than anything. • New users onboarding through Base This is literally the “masses” part. Base is onboarding non-technical retail at scale. Moonwell can be their first money market. No need to chase everyone. These groups alone are enough to dominate the chain. 3. Content Angles Moonwell Should Focus On Since the narrative is speed + simplicity, every content angle should reinforce one of these themes: • “Borrow in minutes, not hours.” Show how fast the process is on Base. • “Don’t panic. Borrowing is simple.” Short explainers that break down collateral, LTV, liquidations in friendly language. • “Rotate into opportunities instantly.” For traders needing fast liquidity. • “Your first lending protocol shouldn’t scare you.” This nails the “masses” angle. • “Base is fast. Moonwell makes it useful.” Connect the chain’s speed to the protocol’s purpose. No need to add complexity. Every piece of content should feel like it’s helping a normal person borrow confidently. 4. Their Biggest Messaging Mistake Moonwell’s biggest mistake right now is this: They haven’t claimed the identity of being “the simplest, fastest borrowing experience on Base.” They’re sitting on a narrative advantage and not shouting it loud enough. Speed wins users. Simplicity keeps them. @MoonwellDeFi has both, but their messaging doesn’t hammer it nearly enough. I Remain YOUR MARKETING GENIUS 🤞

In my last post on borrowing on-chain with @MoonwellDeFi I explained why it's important to the ecosystem and why moonwell is doing it better. Today we're going to be explaining the mechanics. People use lending platforms without really understanding what’s happening under the hood. So let’s breakdown Moonwells mechanics 🔗Where does the yield come from? Simple. Moonwell connects two types of people: 1. People who want to earn These are the depositors (LPs). They supply assets like wBTC, ETH, USDC, etc. 2. People who want to borrow These are users who need liquidity but don’t want to sell their crypto. Borrowers pay interest. That interest becomes the yield that depositors earn. No magic. No hidden ponzinomics. Just real borrowers paying real interest to use real liquidity. 🔗How does borrowing actually work? When you borrow on Moonwell, you’re basically doing this: • You deposit an asset (like wBTC) as collateral • Moonwell gives you a borrowing limit • You take out stablecoins or other assets against that collateral • Your collateral stays locked until you repay But here's the catch. If the price of your collateral drops too much, Moonwell has liquidation rules to protect the protocol. This is standard for all lending protocols… but Moonwell does it on faster, cheaper chains, making it smoother for real users. 🔗What about the token? Does it actually matter? Moonwell uses the $WELL token mainly for: • governance • emissions/incentives • boosting liquidity growth • supporting its reward system It’s not pretending to be something that it's not. Its job is simple: help the ecosystem run and attract deeper liquidity. 🔗Who benefits the most from Moonwell? → Depositors: Earn passive yield with low friction, low fees, and transparency. → Borrowers: Get liquidity without selling their long-term assets. → Chains like Base: Moonwell becomes part of their financial layer, making the chain more useful. → Newbies: They finally get a lending protocol that doesn’t look or feel like a math exam. 🔗What makes it sustainable? Moonwell works because its yield is based on real demand: borrowers pay → lenders earn. Not emissions-first, not hype-first, not “number go up” tokenomics. It’s boring in the best way. And boring is exactly what you want in a lending market. Moonwell’s advantage is not inventing a new miracle mechanism. It’s executing the basics better than most platforms: • faster chain • safer rails • cleaner UX • healthier liquidity • predictable yield • transparent risk management And here’s why all this matters now: DeFi is heading back into a phase where sustainable primitives matter more than hype cycles. Chains like Base need borrowing markets that don’t collapse under volatility, and users want places they can keep their assets without worrying about difficult technicalities. @MoonwellDeFi isn’t trying to be the next experiment. It’s becoming the reliable backbone users come back to. That’s the real edge

Some of you so-called content writers have the worst content I’ve ever seen in my life. I genuinely prefer chewing on hard rocks to reading some of your posts to the end. It’s that painful. If “content writer” is in your bio and you’re still droping this type of content with zero structure, just remove it. Stop disgracing the profession. People are actually out here putting in work while you’re embarrassing the craft.

Imagine this. You’re running a small crypto business. You have cashflow, clients, revenue… but not enough liquid money today to handle a short-term expense. You go to a traditional DeFi lending platform. They tell you: “Lock $5,000 worth of assets to borrow $2,500.” You stare at your screen like… “If I had $5,000 lying around, why would I be borrowing $2,500?” This is the broken logic DeFi has normalized. Borrowing that only works if you already don’t need the money. 🔗Now imagine the complete opposite of that Instead of asking for collateral, the platform looks at: • your income • your transaction history • the money coming in every month • the stability of your wallet • the fact that you’ve never missed a payment on anything Basically, the platform checks whether you’re the kind of person who pays back what they borrow. If the numbers add up, it gives you a loan directly. No “lock this asset for 9 months.” No “overcollateralize like a bank from 1900s.” Just… actual credit. That’s the world Yield by @AccountableData is trying to build. And on today's episode of Next-Gen Protocols, I'll be explaining how @AccountableData is building a lending system where borrowing works like it does in real life: If you’re trustworthy and your money flow is stable, you can borrow without locking up half your net worth. They do this by verifying your financial life using real data, not vibes. So instead of DeFi telling you “put down collateral,” Yield tells you “prove you can repay.” Those are very different worlds. What about lenders? Lenders aren’t throwing money into the void. Their funds sit inside smart Vaults that only lend to borrowers whose financial data has been verified. Think of it like this: Instead of lending to random anonymous wallets, you’re lending into a system that actually checks: “Can this person or business pay me back?” It’s still yield, but with underwriting instead of blind faith. But, Why does this matters in the real world? Collateral-less borrowing isn’t for degenerates trying to borrow $50k to buy a meme token. It’s for people who genuinely need temporary liquidity: • a trader who needs capital while waiting for funds to settle • a startup covering expenses while revenue clears • a freelancer waiting for a client payment • someone moving money across platforms without liquidating assets Real credit supports real behavior. Most of the world survives on short-term credit. DeFi pretends that doesn’t exist. Yield is one of the few trying to bridge that gap. Also, There is this quiet killer feature I really like which is VaaS With VaaS, any fintech app can offer credit to its users by plugging into Yield’s system. Meaning: • A savings app could offer loans • A crypto wallet could offer instant credit • A DEX aggregator could offer trading credit • A payments platform could offer overdrafts • A game could offer in-game credit systems All without building underwriting or risk engines from scratch. Yield becomes the credit layer hiding behind multiple apps. That’s when ecosystems explode. Why is this next-gen? DeFi’s next evolution isn’t higher APYs. It’s infrastructure that feels like the financial systems normal people already understand. No over-collateralization. No complex leverage traps. Just borrowing based on your actual financial health. Yield is an early attempt at that future. Not loud, not shiny, not hype-driven. But foundational. I remain YOUR MARKETING GENIUS 🤞
