Today’s Teacher Highlight goes to Sixth Grade Sutton Middle School Science & Design teacher Ms. Tasha Rainey. With over 16 years of experience, Ms. Rainey continues to show what it truly means to teach from the heart. The energy, care, and connection she brings to her students can be felt from the beginning of class to the very end. She gives her all every single day. Ms. Rainey also shared appreciation for her ESOL Co-Teacher Hikaru Sahara, who she says is more than a teammate. Together they’ve created a classroom filled with joy, teamwork, and excellence. Thank you both for the love and dedication you pour into your students every day.

🔥 Jr. Beta is ON FIRE! 🔥 Today in our Jr. Beta meeting, we focused on communication and leadership skills. 📞 Activity 1: Telephone Remix Students practiced clear verbal communication and active listening by passing a leadership message around the circle — and we saw just how much messages can change when we’re not intentional! 👀 Activity 2: Who’s the Leader? This challenged students to use nonverbal communication, teamwork, and attention to detail as they tried to guess who the leader was. 💬 Reflection: We wrapped up with a discussion on what clear communication looks and sounds like — because strong leaders are strong communicators.
