Reuters reliability goes without saying (they have editorial standards!) Guimarães quality goes without saying. He's one of the best midfielders in the world. His age is a concern (29 in November) & he would not be a longer term signing like other CMs, but a signing like his from Manchester United is a statement of immediate ambition. Big game player & leader, elite passing range & vision, line breaking passer, press resistance, ball carrying, duel winning, intelligent, work rate.. he has it all. Adept in the #6 & #8, the near perfect upgrade on paper. His synergy with Kobbie Mainoo would be immense. You can argue he is a right player, wrong time signing, but if Bruno Guimarães walks through that door.. you aren't going to say no.
