For anyone who doesn’t know what’s happening in Canada right now,
Conservative politicians are being given backroom deals—or being blackmailed—to switch parties and prop up the Liberal Party of Canada into a majority government
This is the equivalent of Republicans flipping to Democrats, building an unelected majority, and ramming through extremist policies no one voted for
Throw in the hardcore censorship bills they’re passing at the same time, and it’s like those now official new democrats then banning free speech, fast-tracking social media “hate crime” prosecutions, and doing whatever the hell they want… because your vote no longer matters
They could turn all of Texas blue overnight and ram through the most extreme, democracy-ending policies—and you’d have no say in it
Every single person should have a serious issue with this, regardless of political preference or affiliation

Conservative MPs should immediately introduce a Private Members Bill to:
1. Ban floor crossings.
2. Bring in recall legislation allowing voters to fire their politicians during their term.

Mark Carney is seizing a costly Liberal majority that voters denied him, and doing so through backroom deals.
In January, MP Gladu said that floor crossers should face voters in a byelection to give voters the final say. I could not agree more.
She should do so. The people in her community voted for our Conservative vision of a Canada that is affordable, safe, and strong at home, not for the costly Liberal government she has now joined.
She should honour her word and let voters decide.

This floor crossing BS is out of control. If MPs in this country can just change parties whenever they want, then voters truly have no control over who becomes prime minister and runs our government. The whole Canadian system is based on the premise that parties MATTER.

A lot has changed in 14 years. Today, we see floor crossings being used to bypass the results of an election like moving from a minority to a majority without a vote. It’s reasonable for a politician to change their mind when they see a rule being exploited in a way that hurts democratic integrity. If you disagree you should probably move to North Korea because thats where we are headed.
