In the next bull cycle, Solana, not Ethereum, will dominate the NFT narrative Two reasons: affordability, unified liquidity *written by a former Solana critic* 1/11

@FPLParana The rule still applies: businesses will cater to the minority when the cost of losing is higher than the cost of changing to keep 40% of packaged beverages sold in the US are kosher, 2% of the US is Jewish 70% of lamb imported to the UK is halal, 6% of the UK is Muslim

The minority rule is a huge tailwind for crypto. Cost of blockchain will come down, institutions will default to blockchain over asking if their customers care, despite only 5% of their customers caring. Same reason 2% of the US is allergic to nuts, but no airplanes serve nuts.

Banks charge 2-3% and give a discount to users 2-3%. Merchant settlement is 1-3 days. The spread covers bank underwriting the user credit risk. Visa profit / gpv is like 10 basis points. Merchant could offer users 2-3% rewards or discounts as an incentive to use stables plus the stable issuer can offer some of the tbill yield as well.

Visa and Mastercard are not middlemen. They own the payment rails. That’s their moat. The 2-3% fees are charged on credit cards, not debit cards. Credit card payments abstract away the fact that actual settlement takes days (T+3). Merchants get paid instantly, but issuers + processors front the risk and liquidity in the meantime. Crypto isn't just competing on fees. It’s trying to rebuild the global risk + trust layer with defi rails. It will take decades to replace the existing systems imo.

It's wild that merchants are still paying ~2-3% from each sale to banks & credit card companies. How come crypto has not won yet in C2B payments? Here're the necessary components: For consumers: token incentives, payment app, tradfi-grade account statements, on-ramp from banks, stablecoin savings with yield For businesses: point-of-sale apps on phones/ipads, stablecoin account with yield, off-ramp to banks, (+ token incentives) Banks & credit card companies bootstrapped this in the 60s/70s, why can't crypto companies do this today?

If a DePIN network doesn’t have tailored hardware and doesn’t require global distribution, it will fail Pretty much every DeVIN (filecoin, render, etc.) falls in this camp

A Solana protocol doing $5M in annual revenue, $1.7B in rapidly growing TVL, no unlocks for 2 months, backed by top-tier VCs, and built by a real team… trading at a $13M valuation? This market’s inefficiencies are a gift.

First time in years I’m unsure about Coinbase’s competitive position and growth potential. Robinhood has better distribution among retail traders. Stripe and Meta has better distribution among merchants and normal consumers in terms of stablecoin usage. The bet is on the integrated offering winning out. The bet is largely on CDP + Base (I’m not super bullish on the Deribit acquisition, although it does complete the product suite for traders). Coinbase needs to accelerate tokenized equities and IPOs/ICOs on Base. It needs to become *the* place for capital formation. That should be priority #1.

@FPLParana @loopscale You can find different LST/LRTs in each of them, but in relation to the loop feature, it turns out that both offer the same thing, however it is important to be aware of the interest rates of each of them
