@frps_durfee senior Avery Antunes has been named the Peter Foley Student-Athlete of the Year by the Eastern Massachusetts Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association, a prestigious regional honor recognizing excellence in the pool, the classroom, and the community.

FRPS will have a normal school day on Mon., Mar. 2, 2026. We ask that everyone plan ahead, allow additional time, & use caution when traveling to & from school. Slower commutes are expected, & bus routes may experience delays. We look forward to welcoming back students & staff.

Clean up is a community effort. Thanks to our FRPS crews for clearing school grounds but also a big ‘Thank You’ to all the city, state, and out of state crews helping with snow removal in our neighborhoods. Hang in there, we will get through this together.

Fall River Public Schools will have a 2-hour delay Wednesday, January 28, 2026, for staff & students. This means grades K-12 & FULL DAY PreK will begin two hours later than their regular start times. AM Prek is cancelled. PM Prek will run as normal.

Snow Day - Jan. 27, 2026 To ensure safe routes to school & allow crews to continue clearing city roads and sidewalks, Fall River Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, for students & school staff. Twelve-month employees should report to work as scheduled.
