Hey Sophie, it's me! My personal views on the moral corruption in English football ( including the reason for that post in 2020) 1. The grassroots levy has never been paid to lower league clubs. A promise not kept. 2. 115 unresolved charges against one football club, not any sign any resolution. 3. A fit and proper persons test that's ruined dozens of clubs and will plenty more. 4. Use of furlough at clubs when players were paid but staff were laid off ( 2020) 5. The constant and spiralling rise in season tickets across the top divisions at a time the game has more money than ever. 6. The constant reluctance to call out diving and cheating in the game. 7. The PSR changing rules ( to come) which allowed a small number of clubs to make hay for decades now only to be punished for upwardly mobile investment. 8. Broadcast deals that punish fans through the season via way of little or no public transport. 9. The scourge of legal touting. All of these things, by the definition of the word, corrupt English football and I stand by them, and have stuck my neck on the line on radio many times airing them. To Forest supporters generally, I hope the abusive comments towards me now stop as my views are on the tweet, penalties aren't going to change. Stay well. Stan.

The fact FA and Premier League have made statements within minutes of each other tells you how serious this now is. You simply cannot in life or sport accuse anyone of corruption without proof. I know many won't like that observation because on twitter many of you are loving life, saying what the fuck you like and getting away with it, because they won't knock your door. But one of England's grand old clubs, a fucking beacon to many of how to play football, on field decorum and rule abiding, yesterday decided, in my opinion, at the behest of one individual with form, to bring the two biggest administrative organisations in UK sport and arguably global sport ( PL) together, to hand out undoubted punishments, potentially embolden a libel claim and draw heat to a club at the time it can least afford to. This will drag on at the time the club needs to just focus on games, games that are running out. This isn't about fucking 3 penalties or a thousand shit decisions across the league, this is about calling a man a corrupt cheat, enabled by corrupt cheats. Too many of you have become used to saying what you like, with no consequences. In a multi billion pound business, Dave from Radford's " you're all corrupt" tweet isn't going to fly when it comes from a constituent member of the league, to the league. Genuinely gutted.
