Nationals Park is the blueprint for successful sports investment in Washington, DC.
In 2006, our city made a bold $611M investment to transform a vacant lot into a world-class stadium. Mayor Williams and the Lerner family helped ensure it became a destination for sports, entertainment, and community.
Today, that vision has transformed Navy Yard—welcoming 88+ restaurants, 7,900 residences, 5 hotels, and 19,000 residents since 2008.
It has also helped transform our city into the Sports Capital.
