@greendragonhq The bigger question should be what happened to the trillions of dollars they have taken so far. Trillion is a number so vast that we can’t imagine it. Taxes bring in $5 trillion annually. Besides the obvious answer, why is that not enough?

Paul started many of the churches he wrote to. Show me where Paul acknowledged that Peter was Pope. You can’t. Paul rebuked him over hypocrisy.

According to whom and or by what standard do you interpret scripture? Then when you disagree with the other 48,000 denominations, who decides who is right and who is in error? @BillyHoag0311 @lordgrindleford My story is the opposite. I had 35+ years of catholicism. Not the two times a year crowd. I heard a lot of scripture but learned nothing, knew little. I’ve gone to a non-denom for the last 20 years and I have grown by leaps and bounds. Historical context, spiritual application.

@BillyHoag0311 I never heard anyone say catholics are forbidden from reading the Bible. They certainly are not encouraged. And all of these readings for Good Friday are impressive but the ten minute homily that follows will not be able to tie them together. You’ll go home understanding nothing.
