Update On lil girl "Shorty". The sweet, orange neighborhood stray that stole my heart 🧡 Hello everyone, Thank you so much for helping lil Shorty. Her amputation was successful and she was able to recuperate at Brookview before being moved to a rescue who is going to find her a forever home. I really miss seeing her every day and spending time with her every morning and night, we had a routine. I loved calling her name and she'd come running, jumping the fence and running to my side. As much as I miss seeing her in my backyard, I'm hoping some loving soul will see how sweet she is and take her home to be inside. I have 8 cats already, 5 Foster Fails, and it's a lot of work and money taking care of them alone, as much as I want her and miss her its best if she can find a home where the other kitties in it are more accepting than mine, or her own home where she'll be especially spoiled. That is my hope ; as it was a very difficult decision to let them take her. I was literally crying at my desk at work when they asked if I would give her to the rescue. I didn't get to tell her goodbye and I felt like I betrayed her. lol I know this may sound like I'm an emotional mess, but I really love the cats in my colony and she is special. Anyway thank you for helping me save her life, the doc had told me the infection would eventually get into her bloodstream and now without that mess of a tail she'll be living without pain ❤️ The pic is post up Brookview sent me. She's not happy in the pic, I told them she wants a snack Delectables to be exact lol
