@FabianJacob8 @Blue_Mage @mavsmarie It doesn't automatically illegalize it either. You have to show it's illegal, actions by a private actor on government property aren't subject to the same restrictions as government actors.

@hexane360 @Blue_Mage @mavsmarie Renting a government owned space doesn’t automatically legalize every discriminatory admission policy by the renter. All they had to do was rent a private venue, or not make it very obviously Muslims only. If it was “insert race” only I would feel the same way.

@FabianJacob8 @Blue_Mage @mavsmarie You're wrong. Public spaces can be rented to religious groups as long as the government doesn't discriminate between what religious groups are allowed to make rentals. Once it's rented it's not the government discriminating.

@Blue_Mage @mavsmarie My understanding is the constitution is the supreme law of the land. There may not be a single clause that says “the government cant discriminate against you” but the Supreme Courts interpretation of religious discrimination is that it’s unconstitutional. Correct me if I’m wrong

@FabianJacob8 @mavsmarie Which section, article, and clause? (You're wildly off-base here, by the way. There is a piece of legislation that comes close, but it ain't the US Constitution.)

@mavsmarie The city said they are in contact with them to ensure policies are being followed. Policy can sometimes conflict with law. If the state is burdened with laws that do not necessarily apply to local government and the state wants to enforce, the city doesn’t have much room to argue

@mavsmarie Just because it’s happened in the past, doesn’t change the legality of it occurring. Constitutionality and legality are separate from the peacefulness of an event.

@GregAbbott_TX @SaraGonzalesTX Hi Greg. I work for the city of GP. Just curious, what makes you want to get involved in the affairs of a private, rented event? Can’t be because you care about the residents of GP, because you’ve been doing everything possible to limit our access to funding via bonds. Cheers!

🚨 EXCLUSIVE 🚨 Governor Greg Abbott’s office has sent a letter to the city of Grand Prairie threatening to pull their public safety grants if they don’t cancel the planned “Muslim-only” water park day, citing state and federal statutes relating to civil rights and nondiscrimination. If the city doesn’t comply by May 11th, they will be required to repay the $530,000 they received from the state. Thank you, @GregAbbott_TX!!

@AlwaysTrustBob1 @UrbanCourtyard @Bruhrilla That’s not true at all. Both Dallas and Fort Worth require trees for developments. It’s illegal to remove trees on your property above a certain size without getting proper permits.

@FabianJacob8 @UrbanCourtyard @Bruhrilla Majority of those modern-day neighborhoods have almost zero trees and the ones that do will likely have trees removed as they fear it will fall on the house. My own neighbors fall into this same mindset they all removed their oak trees here.

@UrbanCourtyard @Bruhrilla That is old construction. Those buildings are likely over 100 years old or close to it. A lot of Texas infrastructure and growth was built in the past 30 years. Takes time for trees to grow.

@rawmilkhoney So many people, even Americans don’t grasp the variety we have in the US. From culture, food, climates, people. Nothing compares as a whole.

I have not stepped foot in a single country that didn’t make me think “we have this in America”. All travel is just extremely underwhelming when you’re American, there’s literally no better place in the world than here

Nachos were invented for Americans, by a cafe that catered to Americans. I admit it happened in Ciudad Juarez. Hamburgers were invented by Americans - either a Texan in St. Louis or a Texan in Texas. Creole food is American, and was developed out of almost nothing about 1830 when the governor of Louisiana called upon the black cooks of New Orleans to develop a cuisine good enough for the French merchants and administrators to stay here. Cajun food is American, and was developed out of whatever the hell was in the swamp at the time. Asian Fusion is American and is a testament to Californian ingenuity. Sandwiches weren't invented by Americans, but were certainly perfected by us. No other nation has a sandwich breadth as vast as ours, from cheesesteak to reuben to hot brown to club. I've had sandwiches in 8 European nations and they were all weaker. Southern food is American and ought to be renowned world wide. Tex Mex is American, developed by Hispanics in America.

He claims "American food" doesn't exist. What do you consider as American food?

I need to visit southern Italy, my Sicilian friend makes the best ragu and meatballs, from my understanding that’s where all of that super great and rich sauce comes from To your point, most Italian restaurants in America don’t have anything that compares to that Also, big difference that I’ve noticed in Italy is that the meat is often separated from the pasta and served as its own dish

Do people understand how difficult it is to deport upwards of 3 million people in one year and not have your economy crash? Do they understand how difficult it is to impose a world wide tariff and not have the world erupt in a trade war? Do they understand how difficult it is to cut regulations? Do they understand how difficult it is to win almost every case before the scotus? Do they understand how difficult it is to get people who don't like you to conform your administration and to pass the majoroty of your agenda in one big beautiful bill ? Do they understand how difficult it is to stop inflation? Do they understand how difficult it is to build cases that will lead to arrests against people who control large parts of the justice system? I seriously dont think people really understand the difficulty factor that Trump has had to work against to do what he has done. I'm surprised he was able to do a quarter of what he has done with the opposition and difficulty he has faced tbh. I doubt we will see this level of change again in my lifetime and I would be surprised if it happens in my grandchildren's lifetimes. The funny part is the doomers and panicans along with the lying legacy media want to try to convince you that nothing is being done.

@smellytoast6 @wfaaweather So it went from 2-4 inches of snow and 0.5 inches of ice to 1-3 inches of snow/sleet and 0.5 inches of ice. Thats not really changing the forecast that’s just refining. 99% of the outcomes in the original statement are still included.

@wfaaweather The gaslighting continues apparently. Except now it's in the form of pretending to say that I was critiquing the forecast rather than you gaslighting about changing the forecast. If you want to keep calling me out and bringing attention to your gaslighting, be my guest.

Aldi is incredible. For my household of 6 we used to spend 450-500$ a week on groceries at target. I just rolled out of Aldi for 192$ and got everything we used to get there minus a couple things. No name brands, no fluff, I love it

@TesCalendar1 Maybe on the fringe but if it was cheaper to supercharge to 100% in 3 minutes than fill up on gas in 3 minutes, BEV trucks would sell like hot cakes.

I hate to say it - and I genuinely mean HATE, but every normie I’ve talked to about Ford axing the all electric Lightning and making it a series hybrid is a big fan. Most people still are afraid of figuring out how to charge when going further away from home than 1 charge will do. Gas is so familiar to them, most have been using it for 40+ years. Change is REALLY hard for most Americans. Whether the EREV is a good idea, whether it actually makes sense, whether it’s holding us back or not… it will possibly become one of the best selling F-150’s.

@Philly_Ali_ @RoadToSix The eagles in 2023 gave up 25 pts per game. The cowboys this year are giving up 30 pts per game. The cowboys defense is worse in every metric.

@RoadToSix That’s why Jalen hurts carried the 2023 eagles who had the 31st ranked defense in the nfl to the playoffs ….. So he had a worse defense than yall have rn and still made playoffs 👀 Proves Hurts is way better than the playoff choking INT merchant yall have in Dallas
