"Yup, that’s me. You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation…" 12 July 2013 @greg_menvielle tried to convince me to do a full distance Ironman, and here we are. 40 weeks left to get ready

@WaterMedics I can see myself in the photo! Thank you for the great work and contributing to make the event so great!
English

@jmckinven That's good to know. I wrongly assumed that if you were fast in hills you must be fast rider on the flat as well!
English

@FabienTownsend You did well! And don't worry, the hills get easier. I'm slower than a lot of the chaps in my club up hills, but I'm faster than them on the flats so I make up for it by doing strong pulls in the wind.
English

@jmckinven That's the ride I did, connect.garmin.com/modern/course/…, which was 500m ascendent.
I found it harder mentally than physically to be fair, it was also my first group ride and they were quite fast for my level! I got dropped in every hills!
English

@FabienTownsend Haha for sure! How did you find the 70k? How much climbing did you do? Surrey hills can be brutal.

@GergelyOrosz You can go even further with TS AWS CDK, in the context of startup, getting the ability to reduce as much as possible context switch between language is a great plus.
The only limitation that I came across is AI/ML is most likely to require Python
English

@SergioRocks The same way some employees don't take their PTO or sick leave, I've noticed that employees feel guilty using these benefits, even though there is an agreement between the employee and employer.
A solution to this issue is to have company leaders to lead by example

And of course my domain doesn’t redirect to my project, yet. #priority

I’m a software engineer and that the order I did my last project:
1. Buy the domain sprint-triathlon.com
2. Build an app with features that I used the next day for my swimming session
3. Signed in for a Triathlon, as I never done any in my life
English

@Carnage4Life One reason could be that Peloton's hardware isn't required. There are activities such as meditation, yoga, running outdoors, etc which are available through their mobile application
English

@theburningmonk That's interesting, I have the case were a JS lambda invoke a Python (ML) Lambda with an async call. For the reasons you mention, I was thinking using SQS between them but API Gateway seems like a good option too
English

I get asked this question a lot, "are Lambda-to-Lambda calls bad?"
The answer is probably yes, but there are some reasonable use cases.
For a more nuanced answer, check out this video. It's a bit dated, but I think it's still relevant today.
