Today in Mogadishu, the U.S. government is delivering supplies to the Somali National Army to support operations against al-Shabaab. A large mobilization is underway aimed at clearing al-Shabaab from coastal areas of Middle Juba and Lower Shabelle; the goal is to deny the group continued access to those coastal zones.
