@UntowardAG @Crypto9ite @CoinCypher @JustinC45e Isn't the idea of assuming higher risk to also get a higher reward? Why do you find this unsettling? The unlimited conversions to PEG were available to everyone, not only to ANOs, so anyone could have taken this risk, and I don't agree it was exclusively advantageous to ANOs.

No premine except until very recently $FCT holders could convert their coins to $PEG before protocol update to limit mining emission to 10K $PEG per block, resulting in circulating supply of ~2B(!). A little disingenuous don’t you think to promote this as a no premine coin?

@MatthiasFortin @KyleSamani And if you trust Intel, SGX with remote attestation is a good candidate as well, e.g. you could embed a WASM run-time inside the enclave and pass to it arbitrary (audited) code.

For all of the networks working on decentralized, permissionless computation - eg Golem, iExec, Akash, etc - are there any good universal solutions to the problem of dealing with verifying the correctness of the computation?

Excited to announce a new Department of Energy Factom Protocol project. @LabsTfa is looking to use Factom’s protocol to validate that devices on the grid aren’t infected with malware. “It’s ideal for #IoT device use.” - Dennis Bunfield ldig.it/2zQZ6yi @ENERGY @coindesk

@paulsbox @stefandeml Yes, it doesn't allow for checking existing Ethereum signatures. It's not (only) the curve that is the problem, though, it's the fact that Ethereum uses ECDSA signatures over secp256k1.

@stefandeml @stefandeml As I understand, this approach does not allow to check an existing Ethereum signature inside a snark circuit because curve is replaced with embedded variant?

A great Medium article on the PegNet #stablecoin network from David Johnston of Yeoman's Capital.

I love the launch of a new #decentralized #blockchain project. PegNet CPU mining goes live Monday August 19th at 17:00 UTC. Here is my Medium post about the project: @DJohnstonEC/pegnet-decentralized-minable-4th-gen-stablecoins-e7b890a7edf6" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@DJohnstonEC/p… In short, decentralized minable 4th gen #stablecoins are becoming a reality.
