Today I entered Gaza again to report on the situation of humanitarian aid distribution. What I saw was shocking — hundreds of palettes of perishable aid sitting in the hot sun waiting for the UN to distribute. Since last week, the IDF has attempted to fast track more aid into the Gaza Strip through airdrops, pauses in fighting, humanitarian corridors, and opening additional aid crossings. Over 5,000 trucks have entered Gaza since May 19th, and four crossing are now being used, though many of the UN’s trucks have been violently looted by Hamas or other Gaza gangs. The situation is precarious, but with thousands of tons of aid just waiting for delivery, it’s clear that Israel is not the obstacle to getting aid into Gaza.

I find it odd that Arab leaders are calling for Hamas to disarm and accept safe passage out of Gaza while European leaders are threatening to recognize a Palestinian state if Israel doesn’t accept a ceasefire. To our friends in Europe, you’re enticing Hamas to stay in the fight. Stop it.

Meanwhile, the Trump admin just appointed David LaCerte @LaCerteDA to lead the FERC. Why on earth would anyone who defended woke banks in court be allowed to work inside the Trump administration when the Trump admin has made it clear they have zero tolerance for ESG, debanking, and woke policies at Big Banks? Do you remember when Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry made a big fuss about the state of Louisiana doing business with banks that infringe on citizen’s 2A rights? Governor Jeff Landry’s praise for LaCerte’s nomination is inconsistent with his stance against banks that restrict Second Amendment rights. In 2022, as Louisiana’s Attorney General, Landry championed a policy requiring banks seeking state bond commission contracts to certify they do not discriminate against businesses or individuals exercising their constitutional right to bear arms. In Louisiana, banks that seek to do business with the State Bond Commission must affirm on a questionnaire they do not infringe on the “constitutionally protected rights of the citizens of the State to lawfully keep and bear arms,” before their applications are approved. It’s humorous to see Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry @LAGovJeffLandry praise LaCerte for his nomination when LaCerte literally fought Landry in court to defend banks that restrict access and debank gun owners and gun manufacturers. Pro-Trump conservatives and the MAGA base is highly critical of financial institutions adopting ESG policies, which is corporate America’s way of weaponizing capital to advance progressive liberal causes. Banks like Citibank and Bank of America have faced scrutiny for restricting business with gun manufacturers and even fossil fuel companies to push for climate change activism. These are discriminatory and communist actions that infringe on constitutional rights and economic freedom. The Trump administration has positioned itself against such practices, with executive actions like President Trump’s January 20, 2025 Executive order to eliminate EV mandates and promote energy dominance as a rejection of Biden-era ESG-driven regulations. A Trump admin appointee who is complicit in defending “woke” banks would undermine the goals of the Trump admin. The most humorous part about this nomination is that LaCerte’s current role is White House liaison and senior advisor at the OFFICE OF PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT, which involves managing personnel policy and guiding nominees through the federal appointment process, which makes his own nomination notable given the continued vetting concerns. 😅😭😅 🤡 Maybe he’s trying to skip the vetting line. Not on my watch. I suppose everyone has their price, which is another scandal within this whole vetting disaster.
