@Woshmistro Are you running any of the 1.14 versions perhaps? Its a known problem that they have poor performance, I suggest switching your jar to Paper which will fix most of the lag.

@FadeHost I'm having performance problems with my new vanilla server. With just a couple players online staying in one area it lags and the console says it can't keep up. I think it could be the EU servers it's running on, could switching to US servers have better results?

We have updated the config file editor on our Minecraft control panel, when you edit a config via the files -> config files menu you will see a new editor with syntax highlighting.
