Not fond of @PepsiMaxUK adding sweeteners to regular Pepsi, I thought that's what Pepsi Max and Diet versions were for. Stopped drinking @CocaCola_GB's Fanta, Dr Pepper, and other non-diet drinks for the same reason. Sweeteners taste bad. Just raise the price if you have to.

OK, which @YouTube channel with 2.4M subs just got hacked and turned into a Ripple crypto scam channel?

This one instantly found updates as soon as it got online. And it should be easy to just flash UK firmware, if I wanted to, since it's all the same hardware in this region. Also, £180 for this? A steal! Think I'll keep it.

I think this S20 FE 5G I got from an eBay refurbisher is a German version because, despite being set up in English, there are a couple settings that are still in German. But I don't care as much as I did about the Verizon one which had different hardware and couldn't get updates.

I went for the S20 FE 5G again because I found it cheaper from refurbishers on eBay, also I can ensure it's the correct model number.

So the S20 FE 5G from Backmarket was returned, it was the wrong model, seller instantly refunded, didn't try to replace it. Now deciding if I want to try to get the actual S20 FE 5G I wanted, or a Google Pixel 5. The S20 is more premium, the Pixel has less restricted software

My @ASUS ZenFone 6 briefly woke from its coma after being on charge for half a day, but still crashed when on the logo screen and bootloader menu and now dead again. Thinking it's less likely a software issue. I tried disconnecting the battery for while but it didn't help.

@backmarket It's not getting firmware updates, it's running a version from December 2022, but there's ones from March 2023 available. Also it was listed as Dual-SIM but this model does not have that. Google security can't detect the screen lock for some reason. I don't know if I trust it now

I got a refurbished Samsung S20 FE 5G from a UK seller on @Backmarket. The model I received identifies as an SM-G781V, a US model for Verizon. It seems to connect fine and says "5G", but US carrier meddling can't be trusted. @giffgaff Will it work effectively on your frequencies?

Finally merged my primary YouTube account into my Google account, because all that weird stuff Google did 10+ years ago buying YouTube and making Google+ turned it into a brand account thing with broken management settings which made ads be served in Arabic but couldn't fix it.

@backmarket It "should work". But I'll try it somewhere with stronger coverage to see if it gets the average 4G and 5G speeds expected before taking advantage of your returns policy.

The Nexus 5 had trouble running most apps, which makes sense. Turns out it's because of the default Google Now Launcher, replacing with with Nova Launcher helped improve things a lot and it's much more bearable to use until I get a new phone. The only other issue is the battery.

I guess I'm going to have to buy a new phone... I've had to downgrade to my old @Google Nexus 5 (which will be 10 years old this year) in the meantime since everything's closed

I think my @ASUS Zenfone 6 is starting to die. It just started crashing, seemingly randomly, and now it's stuck on the ASUS boot screen and will not power off when holding the power button...

It's a surreal experience getting a phone call and it's Brian, the TTS voice, which I only ever heard while watching Twitch streams
