@jotapfragoso I like Arda a lot, he’s a baller, but come on… it was just a nutmeg, not the end of the world USA is moving on to the next round, thanks in big part to Pulisic, while Turkey is already halfway home.

Isso que o Arda Guler fez com o Pulisic não se faz. Acabou com a carreira do rapaz estadunidense em casa, na frente da família. Deve ser a caneta mais linda que eu já vi.

@Footballtweet Disgraceful display, Brazil couldn't just win their first opening world cup match against ordinary weak side Tunisia. Seems that team is over hyped🤧

🇧🇷 Neymar was handing out instructions to Vinícius Júnior and Bruno Guimarães in the hydration break and it looks like they couldn't care less that he's there. Like a drunk old man in the pub giving advice to anyone who'll listen.

South Carolina, I need you to hear this clearly. Tomorrow, Tuesday June 9th, you have the power to remove @LindseyGrahamSC from the United States Senate. Decades in Washington and what does South Carolina have to show for it? 1. Open borders, 2. Endless foreign wars and, 3. A ruling class that answers to donors before it answers to you. This is not about party. This is about accountability. Get to your polling place tomorrow and vote @MarkLynchSC for United States Senate.

I agree with you on one thing, this current administration is corrupt and bullies people around the world while selling out its own citizens. But here is a fact for you, don’t confuse this current leadership with America. They’ll be gone in a couple years, and a real patriot will be elected to lead this country. America is not falling. Too many of us love this country, and we’ll never let it fall. Sorry to disappoint you

"Americans have short memories and never seem to learn from history." If you want to understand why Iran hasn't rolled over in the face of US & Israeli aggression & ongoing threats, you need to understand the *Iran-Iraq* war of the 1980s. My explainer on it is here, for Zeteo:

@FadiKalasho @FCarroll539117 @mehdirhasan This isn't a feeling mate! Sending weapons as an assistance and selling them by taking money are two completely different things, and I'm arguing on your ground otherwise there's no proof of iran taking weapons

@afzal_zara26257 @FCarroll539117 @mehdirhasan The Iranian regime is one of the biggest hypocrites in modern history. They scream “Death to America” and “Death to Israel,” then took U.S. and Israeli weapons when it benefited them. That’s not nationalism. That’s fake resistance

@FadiKalasho @FCarroll539117 @mehdirhasan You're clearly lying as saddam rained chemical weapons against Iran like he wouldn't get a chance of doing it again, america has always been playing these dirty games of pushing their proxies to fight against countries that refused to bow down to it

You’re arguing a point I never made. I never said Iraq’s invasion was justified. I said the story did not start in a vacuum, and Iran was not standing there clean and innocent. Before the war, Iraqi minister Tariq Aziz survived an assassination attempt at Al-Mustansiriya University in Baghdad, students were killed, the grenade attack was carried out by pro-Iranian Dawa networks. There were also border clashes, attacks, and several other incidents before the full invasion. Then later, Iran still took U.S. and Israeli weapons through Iran-Contra. Selling, routing, replacing, whatever word you want to use, weapons still went to Iran. That was my point.

@FadiKalasho @FCarroll539117 @mehdirhasan You're just making things up now just to defend your bullshit argument, i still wonder do you see difference in selling weapons and giving to a country as a help to start aggression against other sovereign country? Do you understand that or not?

You’re moving the goalpost now. I never said Iraq was innocent or that Saddam needed justification to invade. I said Saddam wasn’t some puppet on a leash, and Iran wasn’t clean either. Iran-Contra proves Iran took U.S. weapons. The Tower Commission said Iran badly wanted U.S.-origin TOW and HAWK missiles, and Israel was willing to supply them. So the “they never took weapons” line is dead. And selling weapons vs “assistance” is a weak escape hatch. If your enemy arms you during a war, that’s support whether you paid invoice or not. Iraq’s chemical use is documented, but captured Iraqi records and U.S. reporting also accused Iran of limited chemical use later in the war. presidency.ucsb.edu/documents/exce… presidency.ucsb.edu/documents/exce…

@afzal_zara26257 @mehdirhasan “Iran didn’t take weapons”is where your argument died. Iran-Contra exists, Israel’s arms pipeline existed, and Tehran cashed the hypocrisy check while chanting slogans for the crowd.

@FadiKalasho @mehdirhasan Iran didn't take weapons from these terrorists states, they only supported Iraq because they didn't like Islamic revolution which chanted death to imperialism

You’re making my point for me. Whether Iran “needed” the weapons or not, they still took them from the same U.S. and Israel they were calling enemies. That’s called hypocrisy, not purity. And Khomeini wasn’t some tourist in France. He was an exiled political figure who lived in Iraq for years. Saddam’s government could have crushed him or handed him over under pressure from the Shah, but instead they expelled him. Kuwait rejected him, France took him in, and he used Western media to ride back into Iran. History is messy. That’s my whole point.

@FadiKalasho @mehdirhasan That money was used to fund the Contras. The US used Iran's weak position to circumvent their own laws on funding. What would you do if you were getting gassed and obliterated? Take the weapons. Khomeini went to France as a visitor not a political refugee.
