Having watched a few training sessions I think there’s issues around conditioning and nutrition that need addressing, but I obviously don’t know more about that than anyone else here. Ultimately we could all use a day off from time to time, but that’s not how he knows tennis 🫠

Guy did Thursday all stars at UTS then a separate intense session with Karen. He warmed up and played matches on Friday/Saturday then rushed to MC to play Sunday doubles before today’s singles. He also has a relatively new conditioning coach. Stuff like this will happen.

@Amandija_ Fer had his son with him (not a bad Easter school trip!), & I saw him encouraging the boy to cheer & enjoy the matches too. So he was definitely modifying his behaviour.
Not that Andrey treated the event as anything other than Serious Business. I wish he could enjoy it all more.

Actually I’m sort of glad I’m not there since I have a history of watching matches at MC which were downright traumatic with a crowd to match (I’m looking at you, Nadal v Fognini 2019☠️)

@wilde4ways Thank you - that’s the kind of thing that makes me proud. It’s not the same, Fedal will always be my ride or die and I miss them terribly, but the combination of travel, tennis and photography still sparks joy - so here I am 🤧
