@UkkoVP You can insist on defending Nvidia all you want; they themselves say it's not a filter or generative IA, but that's what it looks like. The Grace face is the worst thing we've seen in years. Just stop wasting my time; you're free to love that garbage, I'm free to hate it.

@Faerk7 It's literally just lighting Ai, no change to the ingame assets, yet if someone wants to change the face, hair, body using a ingame mod or external Ai in post, I'm fine with that, each to their own, it doesn't effect me any way other than me enjoying seeing it

@UkkoVP That, in my opinion, might be within acceptable limits. However, what they're trying to do with DLSS5 goes way beyond them. Do you really think that thing looks good? I don't want to play games with characters that seem AI-generated, soulless, and lacking logical design.

@UkkoVP I'm afraid that trend can only get worse. Honestly, if that Nvidia garbage goes ahead and becomes the norm instead of the exception, I'm out. As much as I love games, that crap looks awful and it's cringeworthy.

@UkkoVP I've emphasized enough times that I don't like seeing AI involved in the video game industry that I don't need to do it again; I simply acknowledge that some use is unavoidable, even though I detest it. But clear limits need to be set, limits that DLSS5 is completely crossing.

@UkkoVP People who use AI to fake their photos -generating faces, hair, and so on- and then claim they only used standard editing software so they can be praised as top-tier VPers? Dude, the answer is obvious. Just look around and you’ll see how many people are annoyed by that crap.

@UkkoVP The way AI is used in game development is very subtle; although I don't like it at all, it seems inevitable... But if you trust devs that much, you'll agree with me that just as they're required to disclose the use of AI, those who use it in their shots should do the same.

@UkkoVP We're not talking about editing an image on your own, we're talking about generating fake faces and altering the photo you took in-game drastically with generating AI. More importantly, label it as VP and hide the use of AI to trick people into saying you're a great VPer.

@UkkoVP in an artificial and unrealistic way, with the click of a single button, without any effort or human creative process... it’s not Virtual Photography, it’s not art and, for God sake's, it’s not right. Sorry, not sorry, it’s trash.

@UkkoVP But there’s a huge difference between upscaling resolution and generating faces. Which, btw, looks pretty cringey 🤢 And that’s exactly what I was referring to in my post - what so many people agree with: using AI to generate faces and improve the quality of your photos
