@TheOldWeirdPro Buying marathon shows them they made the right decision in putting all their assets into marathon and canning destiny for it. Dumbest thing you can do is support marathon. Spending $30 on destiny itself does more in support than spending $30 on marathon btw

Want to save Destiny 2 and convince Sony to greenlight Destiny 3? 1. Buy a D2 annual pass if you haven't already. 2. Login to D2 daily. 3. Play D2 actively for an hour daily. 4. Spend some Silver every week. 5. Buy Marathon (it helps fund Destiny). It's not a sure bet, but a large and steady player count with significant in-game purchases and a growing base of Marathon players sends a message to Sony that there is profit to be made. And profit is the ONLY thing that can convince Sony to do anything. Also, use #Destiny2 and #WeWantDestiny3 on every gaming post to keep the tags alive and visible.

I think most people agree with your point. I don't think anyone would care if it were titled Faye: Goddess of War. It just rubs players the wrong way when they see an established character that they grew up with get replaced by someone who didn't really contribute to the franchise other than being a subplot for giving him a reason to become the God of War.

@BlameItOnRyen Yeah, how does that make any sense? Us supporting marathon will make them think they made the right decision by leaving destiny 2 to die. You guys should be doing the OPPOSITE of supporting marathon. At the end of the day, it wasn’t bungie’s decision, it was Sony.

While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2. As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio. Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to. We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created.
