@Existential_Doc@ndyG83 Having time to really listen to the person who is dying and the people close to them and understanding what is important to them really matters
@Existential_Doc@ndyG83 Deaths are often unavoidably awful. Advance care planning and people’s wishes really matter but like birth plans, death plans can only ever be an intention that needs to be adaptable depending on circumstances
Whats determines a “good death”?
Is this an outcome that can be or should be measured? Who and what should determine the outcomes that are most valued?
A very complex issue
#pwLC or #pwMECFS taking mushroom supplements (lion's mane, turkey tail, cordyceps, ergothioneine, etc): What brand have you had the most success with? Are you taking combos or focused on something specific? Gathering info for survey. THANK YOU!
@drclairetaylor I have had covid 4 times. Is there any reason I would be more susceptible and what do I need to do to help myself recover. I have had cfs / me in the past
@ShelaghFogarty@willquince There is more than one way to withdraw your labour. I suspect that if they don't come to a speedy resolution a lot of nurses who are hanging on by a thread will just leave. As a population that will be even more devastating for us.
@PippaCrerar@guardian To be fair these days they spend most of their shifts waiting with a person in the back of their ambulance because A&E is full, It's already almost impossible to get an ambulance anyway.
@GeorgeMonbiot Sorry to hear you have it again George but glad not so bad this time. I also have it - for the 4th time in 12 months! Either that or the infection that started in July has never 100% gone away. July and Oct infection testing +ve for over a month then +ve again this week.
On the other hand, thank you to all the lovely people who have sent supportive tweets. It means a lot. I'm feverish and shattered, but it's not yet as bad as it was the first time.
I get plenty of hate, and that's OK. It's my job to tell people things they don't want to hear: extreme reactions are an occupational hazard.
But I've seldom received as much as I'm getting at the moment, for stating that I'm ill with covid again. And that's not OK.
@1goodtern Either that or it’s the same infection and I’ve had it since July. I have tested positive for at least a month with infection number 2 and 3. Currently on number 4. First Xmas last year, then July/ Aug then October / Nov now again less than a month later in December
@1goodtern I am trying to work out how not to get it again. Someone I know dropped dead out of the blue a couple of weeks ago. Fully aware this could be me. Even though I think I’m careful it’s not enough.
@mikegalsworthy If you go to the top right of your feed there is a star. Click on that and choose latest tweets instead of top tweets and it resolves the issue.
Exactly what I was saying... and a nice (?) list of all the characters that Elon Musk's new Twitter algorithm is pushing onto our "Home" timelines.

I wonder if right wing people have a feed full of random hard left commentators (that they don't follow) spouting inflammatory nonsense or is that pleasure reserved for left wingers? Why have I suddenly got far right commentators in my feed every day?
@MartinSLewis Encouragement / subsidies to install energy saving measures in privately rented homes - double glazing, insulation, heat pumps etc There is a scheme like this in Wales called NEST / NYDD where the people renting are on low incomes or have specific health conditions
What small quick changes'd help renters during the cost of living crisis? I raised this at the mortgage summit. Its more difficult there's no big regulated firms. So what'd help, understanding too landlords want to protect their investment? Ill try & feed in any practical ideas?
@RogersHistory Curious about these high expectations. If your expectations are unachievable for some of the children you may inadvertently be doing a lot of harm to them.
Schools - protect teachers from unreasonable and angry parents who want to take out every life problem they have on unsuspecting class teachers who have done nothing but teach their child and hold high expectations. Society - fully support schools in this endeavor.
It's often been said by those opposed to adding air filters to schools that the cost is too much.
'If we pay for those, it must come off other school budgets'. One even said we'd demanded kids don't have breakfast 🙄
Why is the cost of giving them all antibiotics not a problem?🤷♂️
