I think part of the reason the Boomers don't understand the Gen Z demoralization on society and the economy, is that generally, Boomers believe you suffer now, and it gets better later. Gen Z believes they are suffering now, and it won't get better later.

Chinese-Indonesian here. I think it's partly due to our culture. There's nothing Chindo parents want more than being able to brag about their kids' accomplishments. Every social event for them is full of "oh my son is now in this business he's doing well and handling stuff" "oh my daughter got into harvard" and shit like that. As you can guess our childhoods are proper nightmares filled with extreme expectations and being compared to other kids. Plus, being wealthy is VERY important for us on a personal level.

- I don't worship the West. They have a lot of problems lately. However, there are some good things from there. Singapore implementing English as the de facto language allows us to not only get along with different races but also connects us with the rest of the world. - I look up to high-trust East Asian countries like Japan and South Korea because they set an example of how every Asian country should be. This is what Singapore did with Japan in the 70s and the 80s. Our "Learn From Japan" initiative is why we are as safe, if not safer, than Japan. - Just because I am not a fan of the CCP doesn't means I hate China as a country. However, their people in general still have a long way to catch up in terms of civics and morals. Fortunately, the educated and cultured Chinese people living in Chinese smart cities have already achieved that. Now if only the whole of China is like that in the future and stop hating their neighbours for political reasons. I will block any wumaos and jeets in the replies.

“Israel.” And yet the money ultimately flows back into US, UK, and EU capital markets. Nobody talks about who lobbies Israel. They stop at “Israel lobbying the US, UK & EU” and miss the larger financial structure behind it. It functions as a circular system that channels public money, debt, military spending, reconstruction contracts, and crisis financing back into Western capital markets, at the expense of the average American, Brit, and European taxpayer, much like Ukraine. Follow the money all the way through and you start to understand the mechanism. Israel operates as a strategic MIC colony, and like all colonies, if it shifts from being an asset to becoming a liability, it becomes disposable and subject to regime change in service of a new agenda. That appears to be what is happening now. Privatise the assets. Asset-strip what you can. Sell strategic infrastructure and regional influence to the highest bidders, increasingly GCC sovereign wealth funds (& China’s Belt & Road Initiative indirectly), that prioritise regional stability over ideological conflict in their region. Use the US-led MIC to maximise leverage during the conflict phase, then hand over to the global FIC to maximise returns during the reconstruction and stabilisation phase. That’s the cycle. The rest is deception for plausible deniability and ideological narrative weaponisation to recruit the soldiers.
