In Sept we are launching our GCSE independent study booklets which use simple retrieval templates and exam technique. Students complete two pages a week (one on current learning and one on Year 9 or 10 content). Hopefully a more effective homework! #geographyteacher

'Synopticity', 'enquiry', and 'critical thinking' is fruitless jargon unless taught as early as possible within a Geog Curric. Introducing a scheme which aims to do exactly that. A challenge to traditional 'What is Geog' schemes which reinforce rigid ways of thinking about Geog

Another year of very healthy GCSE numbers would suggest that our KS3 curriculum both engages and challenges our students. Qs like 'What makes a country a country' have certainly helped this cause. Extracts from our 'Power of Geography' scheme for year 9. Who would like a copy?
