SUMMER RESOURCES! Last summer I shared 4 SOWs and 1 extra this year to reduce summer workload. Here it is again in one thread if you missed it. I'll add an extra KS3 SOW next week. All come with KOs and research-informed lessons. Retweet to save a teacher time. #edutwitter

It's that time of year again. Year 11 survival kits for my classes. A small token to keep them motivated and feeling supported in the final few weeks leading up to the exams. 🤘

@toddogroats Not sure where you think the colouring in is. Maybe you would benefit more from completing this than my 14 year old students.

This year I have 87 GCSE students, 30 of which are me taking over a class of year 11s. It's great, I really enjoy it but I need advice on how best to mark/feedback/ support such large numbers! Any advice would be appreciated! @geoteachrach @SeanDunnGeog @kate_stockings

@mrspemberton85 Two pages set each fortnight. Most is self/peer marked with an associated PowerPoint. 6 and 8 mark questions are teacher marked. Additional exam questions and revision may be set on top of this.

@SeanDunnGeog This looks amazing! What are the logistics of this? Do you formally set a double page each week with a set deadline? Teacher marked/ peer marked? Would love to know more! Thank you for sharing

In Sept we are launching our GCSE independent study booklets which use simple retrieval templates and exam technique. Students complete two pages a week (one on current learning and one on Year 9 or 10 content). Hopefully a more effective homework! #geographyteacher

For the 3rd time in my career I’m working on a KS3 curriculum afresh; a blank slate 🗒️ Except the page is far from blank really; I’m standing on the shoulders of giants & have learnt so much from so many. If you’re willing to share your curriculum map, I’d love to see it! 🌎

@kate_stockings @ploguey I have been doing the SIDS one this year after doing the Japan one for every other year... enjoying the change. I love this paper.

passed my NPQSL! I have loved living the challenges of Senior Leadership since joining last year, but I have always wanted to challenge and better myself. Well worth it! 🤟

@geogteacherjo This is my 4th time. 3 times as a teacher with nothing but when I went on my own trip in 2010 as a student I was stuck there during the eruption. It was great!

When I became HOD it was a steep learning curve. I had a love for teaching and learning but data was always a weak area. In my final year as HOD, I tackled this with YouTube tutorials and many coding mistakes. This is the thing I wish I was taught much earlier in my ML journey.

Why are some teachers like this on twitter? What an awful interaction poorly put across. If you download my resources from today, they will definitely need small updates (as we do to all lessons). Sorry I didn't reuploaded everything again updated. Cheers to this guy though 😂

@MrGeographer Please stop replying and go and enjoy your evening. The fact checks of these resources uploaded 2 years ago to support teachers as a starting point will get very, very annoying.

@MrGeographer When I uploaded this in 2021, it uses 2020 World Bank data rounded to manageable figures for a graph drawing task. I haven't reuploaded these lessons every time I retweet the the resource, but I am sure many teachers will edit away just like we have each year 👍

@SeanDunnGeog Sorry to be particular. What is the research/source for the GNI data? Looks way out / old. Data needs updated. UK at least £4000 more. Others are way out too.
