What followed were flames, gunshots, screams, iconoclasm, death, destruction, looting, rape, brutality......and unimaginable savagery.
A harsh lesson from our history: when your enemy is cannibalistic, lacking a moral compass, integrity, values, or anything that distinguishes a human from a beast, such noble restraint on our part may be perceived as weakness. Our memory must remain alive. We must know our enemy and understand how they operate.
