Medicare stopped it with risk adjustment: insurers get charged if they enroll a healthy person and get paid if they enroll a sick person.
You can do the same with a public option.

I think people have over learned the lesson of Trump and don’t realize being racist still hurts you with voters. Trump gets away with it to some extent because he’s funny and has a cult of personality. But your average GOP politician still turns off voters with this crap.

@Zoomer_Doomer_ Mayor Pete's rise is pretty inspiring. Mayor of a small town in Indiana, effectively becomes the number 2 guy in the 2020 primary, drops it all to support an old guy because Obama told him to. Now is a big name.
Anyway, I expect him to lose New Hampshire again in 2028.
