Its Sunday - COVID19 testing clinics remain open today . Easy to phone and book a time (to maintain social distancing, avoid lineups/crowds). If you're concerned you may have COVID19 or been exposed, have any of the symptoms, don't hesitate to call. Pls share!

On behalf of all residents living in long-term care homes in Ontario, thank you and the Provincial Government for next step to keep residents safe and helping them to have a better quality if life. 🙂
Dr. Merrilee Fullerton@Dr_M_Fullerton

Every option to safeguard #LongTermCare is on the table as the devastating impact of #COVID19 is felt in Ontario and around the world. We must do everything possible to shore up our homes and plan for a brighter way forward. Please see my letter to #LTC residents and families.

Thank-you to @Fairview_Senior for the wonderful letters written by residents to my children in response to notes they sent a few weeks ago. The kids loved hearing from their elders - including this lovely excerpt that Julian esp adored! 😀

I want to thank @DrFullertonMPP, Canada's only LTC Minister. It takes gut to admit that Ontario's long-term care system is 'broken' + commit to reviewing and fixing it once + for all; but rightly stating her focus right now is to protect and save the lives of residents + workers.

I RESPECTFULLY SAY OTHERWISE...this is why all Toronto hospitals are now requiring their front-line providers to wear masks to protect each other from #COVID-19 and our patients - outbreak or not. My colleagues in long-term care deserve the same level of support.
CBC Toronto@CBCToronto

Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Williams said personal support workers at long-term facilities do not need to wear protective equipment unless their location is the site of an outbreak. Read more: bit.ly/2Uwnosi

Thanks to all the PSWs working in the community to ensure that our #seniors are cared for during this time. Many live alone and have limited support, your job is vital to keep them safe and at home 🏠@HomeCareOntario @SeniorsON @AdvantAgeOnt @chnig_rnao @CHNC_IISCC
Doug Ford@fordnation

Our personal support workers are working hard to make sure our loved ones are supported during this stressful and difficult time. Their dedication to the people they serve does not go unnoticed. THANK YOU to all PSWs across Ontario.
