This story says so much about Rwanda. Aimable Karasira, a university prof, was Tutsi - the group Kagame's RPF supposedly exist to protect. He was sacked and jailed because he wouldn't stop talking about his parents' and siblings murders in 1994 at the hands of the RPF. (1/2)

BREAKING: Rwanda Correctional Service (RCS) announces the death of Aimable Uzaramba Karasira at Nyarugenge Hospital after being admitted for ingesting an excessive dose of his prescribed medication. Authorities are awaiting a medical report to determine the exact cause of death.

Taking a break from my hibernation to tell the public that it has been 7months since I called out @glovoapp_ng for impersonation my business and defrauding my customers. This is to update that Glovo did not take any single responsibility or apology till this moment.

We created a fake restaurant on Glovo and Chowdeck using a made-up tax ID, a false address, and photos stolen from a real Lagos restaurant. Within a few weeks, we had a device, completed onboarding training, and made a sale. techpoint.africa/insight/invest…

This is what the Bedrock Operator sees on a job site. The camera feed shows what a human operator would see. The LiDAR point cloud shows what the machine knows, the full geometry of the environment, rendered in real time, down to millimeter precision. The excavator's position, the bucket's angle, the shape of the cut: all of it mapped and updated continuously. This is the sensing foundation that makes autonomous operation possible. Before a machine can act safely and accurately, it has to understand its environment completely.

For the defense tech hackathon, I built a sabotage drone with a robotic arm that takes natural language commands and executes missions autonomously. -On-device LLM for reasoning, mission planning, flight control primitives, and success verification -Closed-loop visual servoing for stable positioning -Precise arm manipulation from a monocular CV pipeline: vertical kernel + PCA for axis and depth estimation (for antenna bending)

In April 2025, Namibia introduced visa requirements for all foreign nationals from countries that also require Namibians to have a travel visa. This at first was met with much skepticism from many, including myself, however fast forward 11 months later, this exercise generated half a billion Namibian dollars Sometimes, knowing your worth is not enough, you have to make others recognize it too

The Idea of me paying R15k for a UK visa when they can just come in our country for free still doesn’t make sense to me.

Kenya rugby is paying the real price of COVID now, not back then. An entire generation drifted away when the game stopped, life without rugby” became permanent for many. Community clubs are now struggling, talent depth is thin, and the league just isn’t as competitive.

@OnzereArnold Pricing! KPL games are 200-300, KC game at the den is 800/1000 & no proper seats. Jersey prices also (KRU wants 7 large). If I have 500 bob on a weekend i can step in and watch a top tier KPL clash inclusive of fare, not sure about rugby
