I have mixed feelings about slay the spire 2.
It’s great, but just feels like more slay the spire. I like slay the spire and am always happy with more, but fundamentally it feels like a (massive) patch rathe than a new game.

@RavenCasts Was saying this to my friends last night, ui is pretty but feels extremely overwhelming at first. I think the game is fun though, just might be hard for a lot of people to get past that initial barrier

@FalconeHosts Sadly the issue there is how many shows BB fans have review bombed over the year, wish there was a way to make Aot have some 10/10, but yeah the last few should be removed, and if anyone does it again banned

Seriously can IMDB not just delete all of the 1/10 reviews from the last month and put this right? I prefer GoT to BB but Ozymandias being a 9.5 is ludicrous.
If you rate any episode of either show a 1/10 you’re at best intellectually dishonest, and at worst review bombing.

@RavenCasts @sylar33_3e Fair, just same principle for me in terms of gameplay. I guess playing ranked scratches that same itch, I imagine I’m not alone. And if anything I’m sad that I’ve lost the habit because I enjoyed it 😁 just suggesting if they’re struggling with retention- I can’t be the only one

@RavenCasts @sylar33_3e I don’t have a problem with shorter seasons, just make it so that a new one starts as soon as the old one ends. Why turn it off? Just makes no sense to me

@RavenCasts @sylar33_3e I agree to an extent but like, personally speaking, if I want to play, and see ranked isn’t there I kinda go ‘what’s the point’ and don’t bother. If i feel like playing I wanna play properly you know? So essentially feel like the game is closed off to me when ranked isn’t there

@RavenCasts @sylar33_3e I couldn’t disagree more haha, I imagine a lot of people would just like the option to always play ranked. Like what stops them having regular other events in addition to ranked? Disabling ranked for any time is a habit killer which is a huge blunder for mobile games.

@RavenCasts Speaking from a competitive side. I think ranked keeps most of the long term players. Personaly I don't have motivation to play random battles. The only thing that keeps me now are tournament in the 2 week period of non ranked.

@CentroLeaks Because they took ranked away for practically 3 months and so my habit of playing each day completely disappeared.

Arc Raiders matchmaking explained by design lead Virgil Watkins: the term "aggression-based matchmaking" is somewhat of a misnomer. The system tracks objective player actions, such as who shoots first, damage taken, and overall engagement in PvP encounters. It does not judge player intent. If a player is a poor shot and misses most attacks while defending themselves, the system does not penalize them. The core question it evaluates is simply whether the player is actively participating in PvP. The matchmaking is self-correcting: players who consistently avoid fights are placed in more relaxed lobbies, while those who frequently engage in combat are matched with similarly active opponents.
